Fitting Vardy and Nacho into the same side is a headache for him to some degree. Not the worst headache to have, but still a headache. In any event, I don't want Maddison to go, but I do think he is the most survivable of the big names, and will probably spend some time on the bench if he stays. RW has definitely unbalanced it. Nacho is good to play as a forward 2 with vardy/daka but sitting behind them and stretching teams without vardy being so isolated. The way they work together is great, but for me I prefer 1 up top and that's either vardy or daka. I think having a true no.10 like maddison is more important in terms of all round flair and what he gives the team and if he can stay and replicate what he did in his first season here then I think we're in for a good season (with a RW!)

I’m prepping the barricades as I type this, but I’d straight swap Madders and Pepe in a heartbeat. Not that Pepe would come, but that’s just a minor detail. 😂
Clarkey123 Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 What is it with the ‘big 6’ clubs trying to sh*thouse us just before the start of the season? Arsenal have had all summer to try and sort a deal for maddison and give us ample time to find a replacement. Plus offering their outcasts to get a reduced price is just insulting. Pray we don’t do business with them. sh*t team sh*t fans sh*t owners 1
Verumex Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 "Leicester’s valuation is thought to be" So we haven't put a number on it. 1
ARM1968 Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 Naughty Leicester wanting decent money for a young, talented, English International. Hardly seems fair does it. 1 2

Saka would be about the only Arsenal player I'd be interested in seeing in any potential deal. (And then I'd still like us to get a sizable fee). 1
urban.spaceman Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 FOUR players now Arsenal are showing their hand here and it's ****ing hilarious.

Its like football manager when you cant quite afford the transfer for that final player you want so you try to make up the value with all the fridge players and bonuses. 3

Silva Fox Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 I'd give them 24 hours to cough up the £70m or forget it. 3
AKCJ Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 They don't have a right winger they'd be willing to give up in exchange so I can't see any sort of player + cash deal working out. Either cough up north of £70m quid or forget about it.

dannythefox Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 People are really talking this up now wonder how much is true, personally I could see him there he’s a luxury player who I’m sure would love to live in London. On the other hand there’s our world class training facility’s and big plans for the future and we’ll win another trophy before they do I think. 1
wattolcfc Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 Would be more than happy to let him go for £70m. That could get you Berardi, Periera and Tarkowski which would leave us looking a lot stronger than last season. 2

floz Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 I'm sure it's already been said but there is an element of "little old Leicester, know your place" from Sky and Arsenal fans. If Maddison stayed injury free for another year and played to his potential (2 big ifs) he could get himself a move to Chelsea or Man Utd next summer, if that is what he wanted. Arsenal are miles away from winning trophies or even qualifying for Europe at the moment and a move there would see his career stagnate. 1
MGLCFC Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 £70m gets you Berardi, Tarkowski and the loan fee for Coutinho.

If its true and he does go I wonder if there's something bigger at play. His hip we think is ****ed, brendan is rumoured not to be his biggest fan and you wonder if he goes now its a cash grab. If he waited a year or so he could have a chance of united who he supported as a kid. If he goes to arsenal he's peaked in his career really, unlikely he'd go any further from there. This of course is entirely speculation but maybe it suits all parties?
