Imagine he will start on Boxing Day. I cant see Vardy playing 3 games in a week.

Was pointless bringing him on Sunday so might as well save him.

Vardy is playing far too much. He limped off after a heavy stretch towards the end of the game.

Daka has next to no match fitness. It made a lot of sense to play him.

That finish against West Ham was a total fluke wasn't it.

Thinking about a lot of his goals - from what I can see he flourishes when he’s in acres of space. But if a defender is close by he hasn’t got the composure. Any competent footballer at least makes contact with the ball last night (our only attack in the second half on the break) and makes the goalkeeper work. Instead he slices the ball. It was so tragically predictable.

He’s been a total flop.

Patson the Shanker is a true enigma to me. As whilst I have seen some fairly shite strikers wear our colours over the years. This lad came with Champions league pedigree. Yet consistently butchers anything that comes near him. I no longer get frustrated with Patson though. He's just a comedy figure now.

How crap is that Edouard fella to be overlooked for the Shanker ?

It wasn't a heavy stretch - that clumsy oaf Craig Dawson stood directly on Vardy's ankle. That was what caused the damage.

He okay if he’s moving toward the goal with the ball.

He can’t play with his back to goal, or ball played to his feet, or in the air.

So he’s very limited really.

He’d flourish on a league that gives him space.

The Premier League and Chanpionship aren’t those leagues.

Has any player ever been cut more slack for underwhelming performances.

Tiatto and Hume immediately spring to mind.

Daka isn’t great as a forward and I think he’d be better as a wide player. Only challenge, I’ve no idea if he can actually beat a full back or cross!

We had this with Kels for years. Expecting a player to come on for 5 or 10 mins or start 1 game every 29 and expect a finished product.

Patson is far from perfect. There's better to be signed without doubt. But he's here and  he needs a run. A defined role outlined by his manager and a bit of confidence.

He's useful, scuffs and all

We’ve briefly been there, he’s shit as well.

As for beating a full back,  he doesn’t beat centre backs so…

We've tried to survive for years now with Vardy and rubbish behind him. Reap what you sow sadly.

I wouldn’t agree with that. We have tried to sign Vardy’s replacements a few times in Iheanacho, Daka, Cannon etc but our recruitment is poor.

Vardy is special and we won’t replace him unfortunately.

I'd like to see Patson really press the opposition and get a bit more of the ball. On the odd occasion he did this yesterday the likes of Van Dijk didn't look too comfortable.

Daka has a better ratio for both goals and assists per minute than Edouard works hard and has pace.

He is a far better squad option, hopefully, we can send Eduardo back in January.

Could you put Akinbyi and Iheanacho on this spreadsheet too, please?

Didn’t he have a run in the league below?
Then was dropped on the back of not scoring and us losing.

The difference is at this level, we don’t create much so in another match those mistakes are far more costly in tight games.
I always hear lots of compliments on his pressing, that’s not exactly the hardest thing to seek in a replacement that’s fast.

True .... Vardy is one of a kind .... we need to have a completely different style of football for any other striker .... or play 2 up front which not many do ...

He did, you're right. And the performance levels were mixed. Culminating in the Leeds away miss.

There were some good things ....but - and I accept many won't buy this - the Centre forward role under Enzoball  last season was a thankless task. A self sacrificing team role (the drop deep to pull centre halves out of position /, the numerous runs on the shoulder which never received a pass as the object was dummy runs to create room on the wings)....

Let’s have it right. He’s ****ing shit.

Absolutely total complete utter dog shit to be exact.  Rare i hate on individual players but i never want this useless waste of space anywhere near a city shirt again.  Ive felt like that for a while.

Whenever he starts i lose enthusiasm for the game.  I said last night, he will cause Liverpool defence exactly zero problems.  Which is exactly how it went, and how it usually goes.

Look at our other strikers outside of Vardy in recent years, Kel, Cannon, Slimani, Musa…..the majority of them couldn’t press and in the modern game (1 striker up top) it’s quite an important trait.

I’m not saying Daka is a world beater but it’s not a coincidence that we actually had a style of play last night which hasn’t been the case for the majority of the season.

I think Daka in the starting 11 currently is an upgrade on playing a lot of our other forward/wide options.

I absolutely and while heartedly agree.

Ditch him in January....   oh, hang on-   noone is that gullible!
