I've no idea and really it doesn't matter. Another guilt edge chance yesterday in the last minute and straight at the keeper. 8 months to go!

Because he was expecting to be a replacement for Vardy, but he couldn't displace Vardy from the team and Vardy just kept going.

 

He went through a lean spell and without the game time to regain form, mentally he has spiralled and developed a fear of playing.

He doesn't trust his instinct and now overthinks

 

He has got to drop down to a lower level again and rebuild

Combination of reasons. Not all his fault. 

 

He's largely been playing in a poor side. His confidence is shot. He hasn't been coached well. He's never had a run. We don't play to his strengths and we don't minimise his weaknesses. 

 

I'm still in an ever decreasing minority that with a bit of love, coaching, tactical instruction and luck, he could be a real asset for us at this level. But I accept that does sound rather far fetched.

He should have been an asset at this level and I agree that he will go on and show his potential somewhere, but his mentality is too far gone to believe that will be Leicester

 

He is one of the players that has seen any ability taken from him by the coaching and tactical decisions of our club

I remember when we signed him this guy was pulling numbers just shy of what Haaland was in Austria.

 

Now granted he was never going to be that good but being incapable of scoring in the Championship is insane.

 

He was linked to Liverpool at some point. 

 

I'd like to still think he could be a much better player but I doubt it will be for us at this point.

Set up to fail from the start. Confidence beyond repair. If the ability to finish exists, it will of course fluctuate between levels and players will find their level.

 

But to go from banging them in in a reasonable European league, and in Europe, outperforming Erling Harland in the same league I think, to barely being able to stay on his feel and being unable to even bring the ball under control….

 

For me that’s not physical or technical. He’s head has completely gone in a way I have rarely seen.

Haaland didn't actually play that much for them, and Daka scored more after he left

Yeh daka has regressed if anything. It’s going to take a completely different type of rebuild than anything Leicester can offer.

I'd like to see him go out to a lower division, perhaps where one of our players is already playing; for a month or 6 weeks or whatever and just told to go and get some goals and confidence. We just pay his wages. If he manages it, great, he comes back with some momentum. If not, then he's done, isn't he?

 

In the meantime, since Jake Evans doesn't have a loan; let him have a start or two, rotate with Carranza/Ayew (if we must) or just try Stephy up front.

 

The biggest thing we need is to have a scoring striker. Vardy gone and we're clueless. Cifuentes needs to try something new.

LCFC played against the Silver Foxes for a full 90 minutes and he still didn't score against the Zimmer-Frame wielding Goalkeeper

He's not suited to be in allout 1 striker system formation.  His time in Austria he was able to be an explosive striker in a 2 striker system, or with at least one winger playing like an inside forward to get him the ball in the box or just outside of the box unmarked.  When he played with Haaland upfront for Salzburg they scored a ton of goals together because Haaland is powerful and dominate getting in the box with Daka used his speed to get inside the box to get opportunities for goals getting into the gaps etc. They played off each other with this formation.  He has not had type of system here with us.  Best for him to leave and go to a league in Europe.

When playing together at Red Bull Salzburg, Haaland and Daka scored a combined 48 goals in 59 total matches.

 

Daka in total for Salzburg scored 68 goals in 125 games.
