They were during the match. Madders was shouting and screaming at Vardy in the first 14 minutes. Seen a couple of others shouting at each other, shaking heads, and exasperated faces throughout. Not sure whether they mostly woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but there wasn't much unity or common spirit. Hopefully they'll shake it off though for today. Neres if not taking this opportunity to mature, could be problematic to the professionial approach we're trying to maintain and promote. Not sure Marc knows any Portuguese...
Edingleyfox Posted 28 August 2021 Posted 28 August 2021 Not sure about this one. I remember Under looked superb on the videos but was a bit lightweight and lacked the final pass when it came to the Premier League. Have a feeling this might turn out the same. Just at the moment I would like another CB like Tarks because we could have conceded 6 or 7 on Monday.

Neres was a key part of that side. That version of Neres would do very well here. Off the pitch he is definitely a questionable personality however... True, although we turned Simpson into a nice guy...
UHDrive Posted 28 August 2021 Posted 28 August 2021 Wrapping everything up including for his club level/injurys/price/availability etc then it's a no brainer. We are more desperate than desperate is. I'd actually say we're desperate to think this is a desperate option as well. In a seriousness, we can't afford to be picky right now. Our season depends on getting a RW in. With Sowah going it leads me to believe that the club have something in the pipeline
norwichfox Posted 28 August 2021 Posted 28 August 2021 Are we signing him, or can I stop reading this thread now?

Thought not Being totally honest isn’t an option is it? All I meant was that the manager has been crystal clear: he wants one, preferably two more signings, but understands we have to ship a similar number out to make room in the squad. Genuinely don’t think it’s a funding thing.

We don't need Balitelli type attitudes disrupting the dresses room. One of the things we pride ourselves on is our togetherness and not having those type of egos. I cant see the bloke has an ego. From that 2019 Ajax team where they went deep into the Champions League, "that" side that hammered Real Madrid 4-1 away among other great results, Ziyech went to Chelsea, Donny van de Beek at Man Utd, Dest and De Jong to Barca, de Ligt to Juve, Dolberg to Nice. Whilst many jumped ship, Neres signed a new contract and allegedly turned down Man Utd. To me, he seems decent lad, a very good player and probably now is of an age where he needs to test himself. I dont know if he will be the answer to our right wing problems, but I`ll guarantee he will be better than a largely greedy Under or Perez who I cant label even if I had 24 hours to describe him!! 1
enmac Posted 28 August 2021 Posted 28 August 2021 Cheeky bid for Lingard? One year left on contract and he'll get few games this season with Ronnie arriving. Loan deal with promise to buy next Summer? Probably an upgrade on Ayoze and he can play RW according to Transfermarkt.

Would take lingard over James if it came down to one or the other.

Personally think this would be sensible, he has proven he can still score/create, it is also shown Man Utd will let him go, doubt it would be much more than 10m and could largely be deferred I imagine. 1

I know Rudkins become a bit of a genius in transfer dealings the last few seasons but i think even he would struggle to get United to fall for that 2
