Not outwith the realms of possibility that we make a last gasp loan move for someone but probably more likely to enquire anout someone late tomorrow that gets everyone excited but doesn't come off.

It's madness if Brendan thinks he can make do through the upcoming fixture list with just Ndidi as the emergency backup CB option.

But boy is it needed! Another CB is needed, probably 2 given the way they're dropping like flies. RB, RW. Been fairly happy with out early business this year, and our little to none outgoings, we seemed to have some kind of plan, but the re-inforcements at the back seem to have been slow and a little panicked, its the area I seem to say and think we need to strengthen every year. If we do get Lookman, and also sell/loan out Hamza, Praet and Benkovic, how many spaces would we have left in the PL squad, and how many would he left in the EL squad? Have I understood correctly that we could sign one more for PL, but then we’d need to leave at least one player out of the EL squad? (Two left out of EL if we got Lookman and another in) If so I doubt we will do anything...

We're struggling to make room for just one. I think it'll probably be just Lookman in, with Benkovic and maybe Hamza leaving.

I reckon we could sign 2 for PL squad but would then need to leave 2 out of the EL squad since it’s effectively 23 men instead of 25? In which case, there may be a slim chance that we get a 2nd player in alongside Lookman, but I wouldn’t hold your breath. Either way at least one player needs to be left out of Europa squad. Mhh the second player to leave out could be tricky to choose. Wes can just be registered after the group stages if we advance (and he shows signs of returning soonish) in favour of someone else, given hes gonna be injured for quite a while. Dont know who else we'd leave at home though. JJ would be a shame because I think the Europa games could be used to get him back to fitness

Though it could be Benkovic and Mendy since Mendy will be away on AFCON duty at the same time as Ndidi. 1
