Means nothing without the clubs agreeing a deal.

Since going to the Athletic, Tanner’s been really accurate and well informed.

He might not be interested in us, I'm not doubting that, but players will discuss personal terms to get an agreement in principal, even before the clubs reach a deal. Especially around deadline day.

 

Lots of players have made last minute changes to join clubs when they looked dead set on joining someone else.

 

Whilst not recent, one that springs to mind is Willian...all set for Spurs, signed for Chelsea last minute.

I'm still unsure, feel like around the Daka time he was just reporting whatever he'd seen from others. Any breaking news still comes from Fab, Ornstein, Bourne etc and then swooped on by Tanner, Dorsett and the rest of Leicester Merc
