Good to see history being discussed, it is very important in relation to attitudes, cultures and politics.

I'd always urge anyone to study the last hundred years to understand the politics of the current year.

Historically Poland was always considered Central Europe but being behind the Iron Curtain has left it playing catch up and therefore can seem to have more in common with other "Eastern" European countries.

Similarly because of the communism in Yugoslavia, those countries are also tagged as "Eastern", but I would argue they are simply the Balkans.

Interestingly a lot of what we call the Middle East, was always previously known as the Near East.

Best I've ever witnessed by a distance and best I'm likely to witness. I've absolutely zero doubt it contributed to their win.

Their stadium as well is the same size of ours but felt indefinitely better designed, unique and aids the atmosphere

Two tier stadiums are brilliant. Would kill for two tiers the whole way round Filbert Way like they have.

Wow this is a hilariously bad boomer meme you get on Facebook from the sort of person that got all red in the face and swore to never use Gillette again because of the toxic masculinity ad and has had an actual tantrum over mask mandates or vaccine requirements, yet unironically calls anyone left of Piers Morgan a snowflake lol

I can only imagine they will be singing our praises upon their return to Poland after witnessing the noise of 30,000 cheap clappers.

Can't wait to see the Ultra's fear when they look to their right at the family stand and Lawrence, a 16 year old from Woodhouse Eaves is giving it big licks.

Almost as bad as trying to smear a thread only highlighting an atmosphere as a cheap means of moral supremacy.

Hmmm, an interesting comparison, although a  slight over exaggeration to compare vocal support in a stadium with Hitler!

I’d say the two are inextricably linked.

Just trying to summarise this thread.

So the better the atmosphere at a football ground, the more racist the fans?

I thought the atmosphere was some of the best I have seen. I judge the atmosphere here, not the people making the atmosphere. That is allowed by the way and what the OP stated. I have been lucky enough to witness some games in Germany as well as Bayern away ends which are close to this atmosphere. However, I think from start to finish this was possibly the loudest most in unison.

I thought it was quite funny that the whole ground was going for it but there was that one "corporate section" behind the players benches sat down and fairly quiet. Although even by the end of the match they were up and at it.

Athens I came across anti-far right graffiti from AEK Athens ultras

Pretty amazing that all of the 30,000 happened to be what you've called them above. Yet every Pole I've worked and been friends with is not what you have said. Is there a possibility you could be Stereotyping the entire Legia support?

100% he is.

It's 2021. Anyone not towing the line or accepting of such "gestures" is akin to Hitler. All must remember st Fentanyl of Floyd. Look at Larry elder in the California recall recently, A black man, but because he was running as a republican he was labelled "the black face of white supremacy!"lol

Their TIFO was class.

Seems to be a common theme from some in this thread around this point …

This is a really good point. They usually can’t wait to post about “the blue army” arriving at West Ham, yet the 800 that jumped through hoops (some of the clubs doing) to get to and from Poland aren’t mentioned at all. Strange.

Yeah this can’t be clearer.

I’ve said this many times before but I’d recommend a trip to see Ferencvaros in Budapest if you enjoyed this atmosphere. I was very lucky to be there when they had a champions league qualifier v Dinamo Zagreb and it was equally as impressive as these lot.

There’s been some stories to read and brilliant photos. Difficult to make ourselves heard but can’t blame the 800 for not having a good time (some hairy bits in there but appears everyone has got off lightly)

Keeping the two separate here; but yeah the noise and display from them was absolutely immense. The tifo was purposely a two sided dig - quite an intelligent way of doing it, if pretty fcuking bleugh at the same time.

They had complete buy in from all three sides of the ground - corporates included! The only criticism I have is that it’s very calculated - english atmosphere used to have a spontaneous notion to them which European clubs find very difficult to replicate.

The Europa League is the greatest competition in the world btw.

Personally I have had a lot confirmed what we all know about the club. There were positives and negatives about the set up pre match / post match. Apparently they didn’t think we’d get away support for Europe.

However there hasn’t been a sincere thanks or even a picture of our travelling support on any of the social media channels. It wasn’t easy to make that game on a months notice with multiple paperwork to fill out. At the actual game, we had Tielemans make a proper beeline for the support before the game and thankfully Kasper/Rodgers after the game. That was it. They are going to grow the distance between the fans and players/club at a time when they need it more than ever.

We have a trip to Moscow in a few weeks where some folk want to travel but we’ve had little or no interest for the club in supporting that. It’s as if they’d rather have an empty away end than 50 to 100 making an amazing effort for them.

Now if the club would allow UFS to do a Walsall to Warsaw tifo with Lloyd, Heskey, Shinji and Hamza in it please

Such good points

The club have been absolutely appalling with this whole trip. The enemy within. They actively worked to inconvenience and annoy fans. Even those appalling stewards near the entrance pretending to help.

I love the amount of people in this thread that have exposed themselves as ridiculously easily to triggered by any mention of white nationalism.

lol

Like, I'll admit I didn't mean to derail the thread the way I did and make it about politics. My first comment was completely throw away and fairly tongue in cheek.

But the amount of closet far right folk who have been easily rustled by any mention of neo fascist ultras has given me a laugh.

Christ 2021 is depressing times.

At no point did I ever suggest that lol

It just became a convenient distraction for a minority to use that as strawman
