King Power are struggling to pay back interest on their duty free monopoly, this whole thing is dead in the ground, where we are now compared to where we were when this was planned is night and day.

If indeed ownership of the club is now in Top's name rather than that of King Power, it now becomes a matter of whether Top can raise or organise the necessary finance. King Power as a company wouldn't be directly involved.

Without wishing to be unkind, it's also a question of whether Top is actually capable of organising or managing  anything. We have yet to be convinced.

Still one of the strangest decisions on a player front, he had a good few years left as we've seen since.

I think he left because we needed to get him off the wages and he had good opportunity to play abroad.

The demand is there but not at the current prices, which are ridiculous. Expand and reduce the prices and it’ll fill. Match by match prices have gone silly the past 3-4 years.

Prices would probably go down a bit with expansion, they high because they trying to maximise revenue out of a limited stadium, there is no question it needs expanding.  But I think its not happening under KP now.  They havent the will anymore.  Council has some blame here as well, by not playing ball for so long, they made the mistake that the hunger would remain there for infinity.

Chances are they'll include a lot of corporate seating to get more bang for their buck.  But i'd be amazed if we do anything unless we come back up.

That would be the plan yeah, that can be milked for silly money, combined with higher ticket sales, then it subsidises lower match day prices for the masses

Gary Linekar was right about us the day Kaspar left.

He said it's the end ofour golden period and that we're back to being the Leicester of old.

Shame this is what's happening.

I’ve never been to Grebland but am concerned that they can’t spell the names of two of our best ever players there?

Shame.

Shame.

I can't see the difference in vowels, spell check normally save me but with names I can fall foul.

I feel embarrassed and apologetic is there a word for that?

Everyone cracking on with either new stadiums or expanded current one , why don’t we have any update or correspondence with what’s happening…..fair enough we’re gone this year but we should plan for when we get back, having bigger revenue to get out the championship and stay in the premier league !!

So Man United who are £1bn in debt, having spent £230m on new players this season have announced they are building a brand new stadium with 100,000 capacity for £2bn... Yet we can't build a second tier on an existing stand or sign any players that doesn't involve a 15 minutes research on Wikipedia.

Yet we have spent almost as long in the same league with similar success over the last decade, wtf is going on with Football?

Does govt funding count towards PSR

It's got very little to do with football and rather finance. Man United simply drive higher revenues, have more collateral and can arrange finance deals with more assured hard cash.

So the government will pay for everything new that built around the stadium and ManU will have a say on it.

Basically it would be like a new fancy estate with prime facilities with the builders only have to fork out the costs of building one outstanding showroom house.

Council got a lot to answer for. Planning was shocking

Genuinely can't believe it's 2025 and the council are still getting the blame. We're such a good fanbase at making excuses.

Does anyone have any hard evidence that the council cocked up? Planning can take a long time anyway, nevermind something like this.

Please stick the receipts in here as to why the timescales that weren't stuck to were the city councils, I'd be intrigued.

Man Utd:

The club plan to build large parts of the stadium off-site before shipping it to the Old Trafford site via the Manchester ship canal.

That should also make it a lot easier to shift the entire stadium down the ship canal and closer to their fans in London!

Could be that they have millions more fans than we do and are therefore able to generate £5/600m+ annual turnover which allows them to borrow to build.

is your question genuine or rhetorical ?
