Great to see Eduardo Freitas come to F1, he's been a great race director in the WEC for years. Much more competent and authoritative than Masi.

Looks much better in silver (take note McLaren).  This is the first car launch where the size of the new tyres has hit home.

Dont want to risk Merc dropping out, right decision wrong reasons

Wasn't just Merc annoyed was it? Remember reading a few teams weren't best pleased with Masi all year.

Most people have been critical of him yeah, but the aftermath and potential of Merc leaving was very much the deciding factor. Do feel sorry for him, but it needed to be done

Still race tickets and decent flight times available for the first race in Bahrain. Going to see what the conference league draw throws up next week, and if its not an interesting away leg on March 17, push the button on this.

Dunno, he pretty much came in for universal criticism on this. And isn't there more audio to be released on opening race weekend? Surely another smoking gun in there. His position was absolutely untenable for me

Yeah, Mercedes were never leaving. It was never on the agenda. And that's from the actual horse's mouth...

It was a genuine surprise to them that they managed to win the constructors and had Hamilton so close to winning again last season.

In terms of development, for the past couple of years it has always about this season with the new regulations.

Despite the heartbreak in Abu Dhabi, they have been able to use it to sort a few issues out that they had real grievance with within the management of the sport, Hamilton in particular has gained popularity as a result, and there's a real siege mentality there now.

They genuinely believe that what has happened will favour them in the long run.

I can't wait to see how competitive Russell is and how they, and Hamilton react to it.
