Barnes has been seen out and about though. So would suggest a genuine injury

PCR ruled Albrighton out very late on last week, so could well have only found out this afternoon.

Iheanacho and Lookman still not back yet, weren't we to assume these were two either who had covid after the Villa game or were having to isolate as not vaxxed. So where are they now? It's been over 2 weeks.

Probably spot on. My faculties are slightly clouded by gout currently and I couldn’t even muster an embryonic guess.

My sympathies for this, as a fellow sufferer! My sons love calling me Henry VIII as I hobble around, but it’s bloody painful and I wouldn’t wish it on Jeremy Vine!

Absolute joke really how only 2 of 4 quarter finals can be shown on TV. Especially in these times

The advantage of being in Canada is that DAZN are showing all the games.

We probably didn't ask. It would just create more fixture congestion further down the line. Best just to get it over and done with.

I thought we'd said we didn't have sufficient players to fulfil the Everton fixture though? Either we did, and were lying, or we still haven't, and are treating the third most important trophy opportunity as Mickey Mouse. Either way, something's not right.

If Barnes has had a positive PCR result then he wouldn't be allowed to be out and about as seen. If he's not part of the squad for Liverpool then he must be injured, no?

So even if we win, we get knocked out in the semifinal as we will be playing a London club and the last time we beat a London club was in 1895 (Clapton Orient I believe) !!

Can confirm this, Mark Venus with a 40 yarder for a 2-1 away win.

Unless the PCR results didn't come back until yesterday late afternoon? That happened to Albrighton

If I were out of a squad trip because I was awaiting a PCR test, I wouldn't be hitting the local coffee bar.

He might have picked up a niggle, and they didn't want to risk anything ahead of ManCity. In any event, I will be awaiting the team news with trepidation. I do hope we have something strongish, and I would rather see Nelson than the Danish Hulk.

If Liverpool play their U16's I want to thump them on principle.

Maybe just maybe we are resting him for the league games?
