Klopp never goes hard after any domestic cup, period.  It's a given he'll use mostly reserves and youth players - just a matter of being good enough to take advantage.

Very true. Their last 4 games at Anfield in the EFL Cup have all been against PL opposition, and their record is L, L, D(W), D(L). The D(W) was a 5-5 draw against Arsenal, which they won on penalties. Their last 5th. Round tie was 2 years ago, when Liverpool Reserves lost 5-0 at Villa Park.

Is brendan doing a presser today for it?

No mention of Leicester but there should be one today if all the other teams are having one. Checked on Rob Tanner and Jordan Blackwells twitter accounts and no mention of it either

Basically, not many normal starters will be in their XI but they're going to give it a go. That's what I am reading.

what used to be called "get your excuses in first"

(although even their kids will know how to attack from a corner)

Sounds like he's saying they do take it serious but also that a "reserve" team will be put out, similar to that one against AC Milan.

Van Dijk, Thiago and Fabinho all still out for Liverpool.

Plus presumably Robertson? Salah looked dead on his feet the other day as well.

I reckon we should get the World Health Organisation to give their views on our club and how we should approach this game.

We seem to have the 5 or 6 world leading experts on Covid-19 on here; so perhaps in some bizarre mirror situation, all the LCFC experts are working at the WHO?

Nelson debut surely?

Wonder if any others haven't got covid in the last week, heard at least 1 has who was set to start the game. Gutted for him.
