Gotta give us something to read and look forward too.

That said 3 Liverpool players have supposedly tested positive ahead of tonight's game v Newcastle

See you all in 2025?

Won’t be happening will it

After doing our boozing session for Villa away, I was seriously questioning the financial necessity to travel to Napoli (tests/booze/time off work) and do the same, then a Newcastle all dayer 2 days later

It really didn’t seem necessary. Tonight, I’m bloody grateful I did the lot whilst I could

What is your liver's view on said decision?

Even if it's not called off, it's going to be a great rest for the squad between now and then who have played a hell of a lot of games recently.

Do you get refunds for away games? I doubt I'd make any return date.

Think you would, and I bought tickets for Everton pre 1st lockdown/no fans and got that money back.

Which competition this or the Conference would you prioritise ? With Fixtures piling up due to Covid cancellations I can't see the club playing first team players in both. League position and defending the F A Cup should be a priority.

I would happily sacrifice the FA Cup for the other two competitions.

My best guess is 'we'll go out with barely a whimper'.

Probably spot on. My faculties are slightly clouded by gout currently and I couldn’t even muster an embryonic guess.

I would want to get players game fit. I would play the strongest team possible, knowing that wouldn't include some of those more recently back from isolation. Win this, and it is a semifinal. Win against Watford, and it is a Round of 32. I don't think the League Cup and FA Cup are in competition at the moment though. It's League Cup and how it plays for the Man City game (although I think a win against the Liverpool reserves is more likely than any kind of result against ManCity at this moment -- hopefully, I am wrong).

As for the Conference? It doesn't even happen until February. The only way you have to "choose" between the League Cup and the Conference League is if we are in the League Cup final.

The Conference. Win that and we are back in the Europa League

Too much port?

Old wives tale. I’m not Henry VIII. Genetic gift from my grandfather.  He was an amazing man, so it’s a sort of bittersweet agony.

Is it now win this and we’d be in the conference again? Rather than the Europa ?

Not much bothered about whether we finish 9th or 13th in the league, TBF.  Just rotate the squad and treat them all about the same.

About £4m difference in price money between finishing 13th to 9th these days.

Winning the league cup gets you about £1m.

A business decision isn’t to win the cup unfortunately. This will be harder to win that the Conference League on paper, so we should focus our efforts on ……

Sod it, let’s win the lot.
