Samilktray Posted 28 June Posted 28 June Was Sammy Braybrooke really considered a bigger prospect than Adam Wharton before his injury?

They played together for the England youth teams and Braybrooke was the better player at that time. Sadly Braybrooke got injured meanwhile Wharton started getting minutes for Blackburn's first team in the championship and eventually made the step up to Prem level while Braybrooke's career pretty much stalled until last season. Just goes to show how volatile football players' careers are but theoretically, if nurtured and trusted properly, there is a better player in Braybrooke than any we could reasonably attract in the market.

Losing a year worth of development due to ACLs was really blow for both Braybrooke and Alves. Edited 28 June by coolhandfox 3

You could argue they have been set back 3-4 years. They would both be looking at lower championship/league one loans in the 23/24 season had they not been injured. Instead 3 years later they are both yet to have a full season at that level. Edited 28 June by honeybradger 2
davieG Posted 29 June Posted 29 June Merc Leicester City want to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Justin Devenny this summer, according to journalist Alex Nixon. The Foxes are set to embark on a major overhaul of the squad this summer ahead of the 2026/27 season in League One. Several players are expected to depart in the coming weeks with plenty of business anticipated throughout the window. Several players have been linked with a move to the King Power Stadium since the transfer window opened earlier this month, including Davis Keillor-Dunn and Conor Chaplin. However, attention is turning to midfielders and Devenny is a new name on their radar.

Certainly wasn't Championship standard as was proven last season and I would even say League 1 level is stretching it. Too prone to a regular mistake putting us on the back foot. We need better. Your putting a keeper down that had next to nothing of a defence infront of him. Yet 70% of goals conceded people on here blamed a defender or even two. A keeper needs a defence like a striker needs wingers and a midfield. Put prime Vardy and five or six from here to support him and he'd be lucky to get a shirt in div 2.

Does a defence make a goalkeeper regularly make the wrong decision when choosing to come off his line and his passing? Edited 30 June by South Shire Fox
