Lesta2014 Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Wonder if there’s any loan deals out for u21s caught up in this backlog?

If you’re stuck to the loan market, then you’re severely limiting your options. Looking across the main leagues in Europe, the potential options for a loan striker are very underwhelming. Your just looking at a bunch of players who have hardly scored this season. La Liga - Sheraldo Becker 🤷♂️ Takuma Asano 🤷♂️ but they are probably better as wide players. Serie A - Best bet is probably a Udinese striker, but doubt they’d loan to us. Ligue 1 - Not many options apart from maybe a Lorient striker. Bundesliga - Samuel Essende 🤷♂️ while you have a cluster of youngsters not getting much game time. Outside of those - Sam Lammers(Twente), Cyle Larin(Feyenoord/Mallorca), Myron Boadu(PSV), Deniz Gul(Porto), Kelechi Iheanacho , some has-been from Turkey. If you’re looking at home, then Joel Piroe now seems unlikely, Chelsea seem to have zero interest in loaning out Marc Guiu, that just leaves you with Awoniyi or maybe being one of those clubs in the mix for Szmodics. Well in the end, three of those I listed moved elsewhere today. Sheraldo Becker to Mainz rejoining his old manager Urs Fischer. Szmodics to Derby Larin to Southampton Garbage window to try and sign a striker if you’re only scraping around for a loan. Can’t say I’m that surprised we’ve ended up with an unproven youngster.

Each club is different for sure but i'm not so sure the outside looking in knows just how troubled we are 😂

AjcW Posted 3 February Posted 3 February This backlog is interesting. Plenty of football league signings announced throughout the evening and into the night. So we’re at the back of the backlog… because we’re slow….

fox_favourite Posted 3 February Posted 3 February @Loxm - stayed on for 5 hours only to see a Southampton reject come in and the others to be announced today (hopefully). Do you feel trolled 1

But then fans will just question why we’re relying on an 18 year old to get goals, who might not be ready to start consistently in the Championship. It all boils down to the fact that we’ve restricted ourselves to the loan market because of mismanagement, you’re severely limiting your options in a transfer window that has a history of being difficult. And by the end of it, Derby fvcking County have better striker options than us

lcfcbluearmy Posted 3 February Posted 3 February We didn't get them done in time did we? There would have been at least some teasing on the socials if we had

lcfc_forever Posted 3 February Posted 3 February I can also imagine the club being extra cautious given the ongoing PSR issues and not wanting to annoy the authorities by formally confirming anything until it's all properly registered.
Spudulike Posted 3 February Posted 3 February Not even sure if the 3 suspects will be allowed to train until the formalities are completed. Day wasted.
Marky mark Posted 3 February Posted 3 February So we have 32 days 19 hours then a extra 2 things still arnt done - it’s a shambles if the the deal isn’t done by 7 it’s off not like you’ve had the 32 days is it
lcfcbluearmy Posted 3 February Posted 3 February Almost midday and still nothing these aren't getting done we probably missed the deadlines again
