Not sure if you’re being serious or not anymore but could you elaborate on the songs that just ‘drone on’

Our ‘current’ songs get an airing at every home game multiple times! You must’ve missed the Liverpool game?

No I didn't miss the Liverpool game mate that was quality atmosphere and I wish it was like that every week. Maybe they get my goat because I sit near that corner but they're just so shit. That Maddison one is the worst, there's another one they've recently started which I can't even make out even how close I am to them, they don't seem to ever start songs or initiate an atmosphere they just sing their own made up jargon in a small pocket which is nothing more than annoying. And yeah I'm deadly serious. I've got to be careful as I got banned last time I had an opinion when a member on here was talking about hoping Liverpool players broke legs and got injured.

Im not sure what you are you saying in regards to the Daka and Maddison chant?

I replied to your point on the ‘gets battered’, saying that was L1’s doing.

If the away fans can’t hear SK1 well i’m personally not too fussed. Id want Leicester players to hear the support not the away fans.

That corner spot high up is not the answer agreed, everyone knows this. UFS have been working for years to get out of it.

Currently looks like to me that you want rid of clappers and whole stands signing in unison but I don’t want anyone to do anything to actually change that and just carry on as we are.

No mate I said the exact opposite that stands singing in unison can be powerful, the song at times is insignificant it can be simple as long as it's loud. I remember being at grounds where you can clearly hear the other end like palace, Leeds, villa, maybe it's the acoustics, maybe it's partly the fans but our ground is like detached little pockets of noise which is a bit shit. Like if the whole kop sang at least that would be a start.

Ironic.

I don't see how this an argument. People surely agree that corner is pointless and boring, that's my point, and that the Maddison song (subject of the thread) is tedious and we need a better atmosphere. Lots of people love an argument on here. Any FS or whatever they are called members I'm waiting for some sort of bollocks response off you.

Have you been to any of our games recently? Without UFS in that corner, the ground would be like a library bar the odd song every 15-20 minutes. There is no doubt they cannot single handedly make the KP a cauldron but as long as others just sit and watch (and maybe bash a clapper), it will remain flat. They air the basic songs regularly yet people still don't join in.

The point is, they are trying and putting an effort in. Very little others are. And some don't want to, fair enough, but they cannot moan about a poor atmosphere if that is the case. It seems like you want to make an atmosphere but without a congregated, organised section, it is very difficult. UFS are the closest we have to it.

I wasn't at the Watford game but it seemed like the singing section was another success and those not in it might be able to say that the atmosphere was much better than other home games?

Can’t be pointless and boring if the players and managers keep purposely making a point of applauding it and going over. As per after Liverpool on 28th and on Saturday

Your behaving like a bit of a twat, you’ve called them children and said they drone on with songs you don’t know the words too. You’ve been invited to participate but won’t. However you’ve said the whole stand should sing in unison but you’re not prepared to join in.

Then at one point got shirty because people are attacking you.

Its a very odd standpoint and I’ve no idea what it is exactly you want or don’t want.

The amount of people arguing against you would suggest that people don't agree....

Ironically pretty much only the ones with organised supporter groups.

You’re somewhat right. There’s certain sections of every ground that has a block of fans whether it’s organised or not. I’m pro L1, but the only qualm of it for me is that it can be incredible against the likes of United and Liverpool but against Norwich and Watford it’s equally as poor as many. But whole grounds singing? Doesn’t happen.

UFS are positioned next to the Kop and if they can’t be arsed to join in with even our most popular chants, then you can’t blame the 60 or so, trying to get them started.

Holte End at villa. Great when they’re winning, but even then it’s not constant for 90 minutes and certainly not when they’re losing.

Holmesdale End - Wouldn’t be what it was if It wasn’t for the fanatics.

Elland Road & Stratford end - See Holte End.

I’ve been to every single one of the grounds mentioned, multiple times and can hand on heart say that only the Holmesdale stands out.

You keep going on that you’re being “attacked” you’ve actively attacked UFS, I’ll pull all of the attacks out if you want? They’re just defending themselves and putting their point across. Just like you are but in a much more mature way.

Whether you like them, disagree with the songs they sing and anything else, what anyone absolutely cannot deny, is that this group stand, sing and support the team from start to finish.

You have to have a starting point. The Holmesdale is the clearest way of showing this. Their “fanatics” don’t stop and generally get that whole end going.

Edit - please bare in mind this is coming from someone who has had many disagreements and digs with/at UFS.

Bert, the difference is that anything you’ve said in the past has been constructive and mostly with the best of intentions.

Here we’ve got somebody who has pretty much contradicted himself with each post, hasn’t offered any constructive feedback or offered to step up with anything better. Unfortunately, there are too many others like FoxyJim and nothing will change regarding the atmosphere while that’s the case.

You're missing my point. Clappers and boring shit songs no one knows should both be binned. We need songs in unison sung by a whole stand or ideally most of the ground, not one little pocket of guys who think they are artisans

So join in then. People like you want it filtered to what you like that’s the problem
