The manner in which he got up and pushed cags made me think it should have been red. It wasn't a bit of handbags it was a full on moment of rage and that was after he dived.

It doesn't mate though, we should have done better ourselves and not allowed that to happen but I think they were fooled, the lack of match fitness showed towards the end

Pretty much what I thought. I can see why he's got a yellow, but like you say the way he reacts with such rage, he couldn't have complained at a red. But the moments gone, he didn't get sent off, and we didn't defend we'll after that, not just once but twice.

The going in to the crowd has annoyed me more, he should have got a second yellow for that. Instead he's free to play the next game as you can gurantee Moss hasn't done it because it's so late on and he can't be arsed for the aggro of it.

It absolutely is a red. Its a yellow for simulation at the minimum, a push under normal circumstances is probably just a second yellow but given he's gotten up and retaliated in the manner that he had we've seen plenty of red cards for that.

Look, we were shit and we bottled it and we are totally to blame. We didn't deserve to win and it would have been shithouse as fvck if we had.

But the two aren't mutually exclusive. It can be robbery and ineptitude at the same time.

Actually changed my mind, definitely a red. Just read law 12.

VIOLENT CONDUCT

Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made.

I thought he was still banned from reffing us after the mess he made of that West Ham game? Did it get lifted or was it cos he was meant to be 4th official?

They're all sh*** mate makes no difference

He should have been banned from reffereeing the second he ****ed us over in that game against Forest in the Championship, when he gave them a handball penalty when they kicked the ball at Mills hand that was supporting his weight as he was getting up off the floor, then sent Kasper off for kicking the ball back to the half way line as he deemed it "time wasting" to return the ball to the exact spot it needed to be for us to tke the kickoff. The West Ham game in the title winning season was another extremely dodgy performance. The guy hates us, will give anything he can against us and it's no surprise that his magical stoppage time watch keeps on going until Tottenham win. Appalling ref, but then the standard in general in ****ing honking, most of them are absolute dogshit. He seems to be actively looking to **** us over every chance he can though.

I think the majority of level headed people will realise that Moss was absolutely fine tonight. Missed the odd thing here or there but what referees don’t? Certainly not why we lost.

If we want to be really pedantic he should’ve went Bergwijn off… but only for a second yellow after jumping into the crowd after their winner.

Not exactly pedantic is it, it's a second yellow

Not decisive on the result but he seemed happy to let a lot go until Hamza's booking which probably was correct but they had 2 or 3 "Fernandinho's", challenges on the half way line to break up an attack which  if any of our boys commit they get the yellow for. Rodgers looked genuinely surprised at one not given in particular, those challenges with no intent to win the ball just 100% about taking the player out.

You're reaching. When have you ever seen a ref needlessly send someone for two yellows like that. Ironically if anyone would do that it'd be Moss, and that's what makes him a terrible ref.

He didn't do much wrong tonight.

Van Persie sending off when playing with Arsenal vs Barca in the CL! Anyone remember that one? Second yellow for taking a shot a second after the whistle blew. Could’ve done with that ref tonight :D

Not great today as per, but certainly not to blame for the defeat. Still think he's useless but can't be blamed for our own players stupidity.

Only bit I'm not understanding and I'm not complaining as I think we got what we deserved but whereas I don't think the incident in itself (the push on Soyuncu) was anymore than a yellow but isn't simulation a yellow as well so not a straight red but 2 bookable offences and then what about jumping into the crowd into the end that's also a bookable offence, ultimately we deserved what we got but still don't see how he escaped two bookings and a red.

Well I guess not. By the laws.
