Where do you think Will Alves fits in Ric? Loaned out perhaps? Would love to see him get a chance with us but if we sign Lookman + all these other attacking players I can’t see Alves getting much game time.

Maybe we won’t see him in the first team squad until 2024 when Albrighton’s contract expires and we need a replacement.

Alves will be a #10 or maybe played wide left cutting in. He's a wizard and Rodgers has already alluded to him being ready but not physically, so I can't see it being much more than a year or 18 months before he's considered a first team squad member. Maybe a loan to the Championship next season might happen but he only turns 17 in March I think so we might just opt to keep him and use him more and more as he grows. Big year next year for him.

Tarkowski might not be fast, but he's a LOT more mobile than Vestergaard. And a smarter defender too. You can draw a lot of parallels between Tarkowski and Evans, who is also slower but has been stellar for us in our system, especially alongside a faster CB partner like Fofana, Soyuncu or Amartey.

He'd be a brilliant fit for us.

But Evans also has fantastic ability on the ball, which even shone through when he was at West Brom and why clubs like arsenal and Man City were interested. Tarkowski just hasn’t demonstrated he can do it.

Dont get me wrong, he’d be an upgrade on vesty, but still square peg in a round hole scenario.

This doesn't seem to address our immediate requirements. Can't see it happening now.

We really don’t have any immediate requirements, unfortunately. The mission seems to be to get through to the season and rebuild for next year.

Did you not get the job?

Perhaps we’re locking in a deal now ready to sell Kelch in the summer?

Would be a Rodgers move definitely. Would be bloody shameful. I'd riot if it were to happen

Issue is we need funds, and Kelch is likely to generate at least £20-30m. I’d hate to see him go but Daka is the future therefore Kelch can be sacrificed for some summer funds.

Possibly, but completely different players.

Personally think kel is the best finisher at the club.

Which might be why we’re looking at him rather than play Kelch…. One thing for sure is Rodgers won’t play him when there are other options.

And me, I like Kelch. But I think it’s clear Brendan for whatever reason isn’t keen.

I dont know if Everton might be in for him AGAIN - but he was at their Academy for 4 years !

This has got 'Nacho replacement' all over it - a left footed central striker.

I think its a little premature to be calling him a "Nacho replacement". Big shoes to fill replacing the goals that Iheanacho brings to the table. When/if we do sell Kelechi we better get enough to buy two or three of this guy or we've been screwed.

Only 20 or 30 for his goals. Rudkin Out.

I agree expecting an 18 year old kid with one goal to his name to replace a 25 y.o established PL striker is stretching it a bit.

Nacho assists and scores… plenty of reason for BR to sell him…

should be looking to offload Perez rather than Kel.

Ayoze is more of a defensive forward for us. Cho’s stats line up with Ayoze’s more than Kelechi’s.

Well, absolutely. I'd stick to the fishmongery. The two just don't mesh well; and either one deserves your full attention.

He is, but his first touch can be absolute garbage! Many promising attacking opportunities go missing because of it. The first half of the FA Cup Final being a good example if memory serves right.
