The club seems really flat at the moment. No ambition at all to salvage something from this season and they expect people to keep paying and supporting?

Somethings got to change this summer.

So ambition is all down to how much you spend on players?

Won’t expect anything in this window. Can see a few being sold in the summer and we will rebuild from there, especially with Tielemans not looking at signing a new deal with us.

True but as its been mentioned several times in this thread the club cannot get bogged down in long term strategy when there's short term needs that need addressing too.

....we did, we brought in Vestergaard when we had no plans to spend in that window!!!

I can understand the frustration but we are supposed to be making sure this club do not fall back into overspending above our means. Spending another £50m is not going match the spend of Villa, or West Ham and even Everton, they have spent a lot of money to sit where we are, so long as we keep looking in the right places, what we spend will be enough for the time being.

Money is tight due to the global pandemic and economical situation and King Power have suffered immeasurably due to travel restrictions which has had a domino effect where £ is concerned.

....little impact on the club!!!

If King Power were to go under due to lack of Duty Free sales (I am sure that they have diversified) we (LCFC) would be listed in their accounts as an asset. A £460m asset that they could sell to raise revenue to offset debts and liabilities pertaining to themselves. With the acquisition of clubs now being so commonplace they would pickup a buyer quite easily.

The squad is in bits and there are no plans for even a temporary solution.

The club are essentially writing the season off at the midway point of the season, it’s not good enough.

We don’t need to match the spend but I find it hard to believe that the club cant even find the funds to finance a loan deal or two to get the squad some sort of senior back up for the rest of the season.

It just feels like the club are settling for surviving this season and with a very important summer coming up with several players looking at their futures I don’t think its the smartest move.

At this stage of the window, if we do sign someone it will either be someone we've kept under wraps or a massive panic buy. Unless it's someone we've been watching a while, I'm not interested in signing anyone.

I always look at other clubs signings and think should we have signed them? Is there anyone that has moved to Premier league that we should've signed? I'm not sure. Van Der Beek and Ali are potentially decent signings but not what we really need, maybe the Brazilian guy Newcastle have signed but I'd never heard of him a couple of days ago.

If money is tight we should promote from within. We do have some good youngsters coming through. Braybrooke, Alves, Nelson & Brandon Cover to name a few..

Brunt was also very good against Watford & i’m surprised Vestergaard has been picked over him..

It really not, we have Justin back, and the return of our AFCON group.

Riccardo is around 2 weeks away, leaving Evans, Vardy, Castagne, Bertrand and Fofana.

Fofana and Castange is likely back before the end of Feb.

This 100%.  A lot of the names im seeing signed aren't making me insanely jealous. Not keen on either Van Der Beek, Lingard or Ali. Even with Erikson would rather someone else took the challenge. I'm happier Justin signed an extension and potentially Fofana and Riccardo will too.Looking forward to Alves and Baybrook getting their starts sometime soon too.

Because Brunt needs to be nurtured and coached still. Get it wrong and you can ruin the rest of his career. I was at the Watford game and thought he was brilliant, but not sure i want to see him thrown under a bus yet.

He is 21, he doesn't need nurturing , he needs to play. At his age ,with years of hard coaching, he should know his game. Experience will only come by getting the opportunity to do the job.

We always seem to be a few weeks away from everyone being back but it never happens.

I get there is a plan but circumstances change and its worrying that all other teams are strengthening and we are not. We are expecting a literally half fit squad will get us through until the end of the season. 0 ambition.

I'm hoping we've got a clever strategic summer window ahead. Not a flurry of names but 2-3 quality finds. Still expect YT to be going the other way tho sadly. Some decent deals being done this window it appears. This league just gets harder each year given the increased investment being spread further amongst teams. Need to keep and grow a pool of talent to avoid going stale.

All players develop differently at these ages. He needs to play, but in the right games. I would put a lot of money that the club know better how to do that and either have loans or the right sort of matches in mind. Vesty can be thrown under a bus, Brunt can't.
