Hate seeing teams like West Ham and Villa being mentioned as potential destinations for our top players. We can't be selling to those teams. They are not above us.

Ndidi is one of my favourite players, but if someone finally came in for him offering 70 million or so it might be worth saying goodbye. As a purely defensive player he is peerless in the league, but his passing does hold us back a little, and if we can bring in someone more dynamic and approaching his defensive quality, like Bissouma (as long as he is cleared of all charges) then it could even be a positive change for the team.

This is just his quotes from the pre-Randers press conference the other day - he doesn't say anything of the sort, just that his degree is on hold due to the birth of his child and COVID

Maybe it's the degree being on hold that's holding him back. Get back on the saddle Wilf and we'll be better off at the same time. He's still our most important player IMO and his poor form is a massive issue.

No reason why his degree should be on hold, unless that’s his choice.

Also he can go to any University and his credits earn’t so far could be transferred to the same or related degree.

Nothing story.

I still maintain he is not being helped by the 4-2-3-1 shape. It seems to benefit Maddison in his own individualistic sense, but I am still bemused as to why he dropped Tielemans back into a midfield pair with Ndidi when a 4-3-3 with Ndidi at the base of a midfield three worked so well in Rodgers' first 12 months here. It just means he has to cover more ground in wider areas where he leaves the centre halves exposed, for me. Maddison is underrated in his ability to track runners and win the ball in the midfield, and that ability is wasted when he is so close to the centre forward and even pressing as though he is a striker in a 4-4-2 at times.

I know what you mean but I don't think him being in a double pivot is unworkable but that he needs to be the one sitting deeper of the two rather than Tielemans. Maybe its Youri's lack of pace which has created Rodgers tweaking it to this way, no coincidence Youri's worst season for us was Ndidi's best in 2019/20.

Tielemans is off so I hope there's a way of Ndidi being allowed to sit as the screening DCM and either KDH or another box to box midfielder can in unison with Maddison cover the space on and off the ball and provide the support to the striker. 3 years on and er still have at least one position we are unsure on.

Would like to see us try the 4-2-3-1 dropping Tielemans

Vardy ,two wingers and Maddison must mean you are hoping to win 5-4.

Isn't Reuben Abati just a Nigerian journalist that's been trying to "sell" our Nigerian players to bigger clubs since we first signed one?

We've tried it, it's made very little difference.

I'm not sure why you quoted me in that.

If you think my post is in any way offensive or prejudicial then I'm pretty sure you missed my point.

My apologies for any misunderstanding.

I was referencing the third post in the exchange.

Your initial post gave information and was certainly not racist.

No intent to be racist my end.

Apologies if you thought I was referring to you. It is the third in the string.
