We didn’t really wipe the floor with them, we didn’t create a huge amount of good opportunities but that’s against a team that’s obviously good defensively so understandable. Actually managed to defend well ourselves for a change - mostly with the ball - apart from in two key moments.

 

You’re fighting an uphill battle on here trying to be objective and nuanced. The Rabid Brendan outers who make FBPE Twitter look normal will drown it out.

Man City got a penalty yesterday from a handball where the hand was away form the defender's body and the ball was hit into the defender.

 

Today that occurrence didn't even get a second look by the officials.

5 points ahead of Burnley in 18th, and they have a game in hand.

 

We can get sucked into it on the next week or so if we aren’t careful

What does Maddison offer? Poor at set pieces 9 times out of 10, misses the target often when given good chances. Fair enough he keeps hold of the ball, but honestly such little end product, and blows hot and cold too often. Get rid in the summer.

Getting better. We should have won, but two defensive lapses allowing them to shoot from outside the box without anyone closing down costed us. We defended the box a lot better otherwise.

 

Lookman looked very good. Man of the match for us today.

 

KDH also had an excellent game.

 

Tielemans had a moment of brilliance but he had too many lapses in concentration. Needs to regain his focus.

 

Ndidi - he has lost his way and he is a liability when the other team presses us. Need to be dropped.

 

Albrighton worked hard but he lacks instincts to shoot.

 

Ricardo also deserved a praise. Still far from his best but he had one of his best games since his return.

 

Soyuncu and Amartey finally looked solid today.

 

All in all, I don’t know how we did not end up winning the game. I would say but for the result the players (apart from Ndidi) did well today.

 

Disappointed but at least we are showing signs of improvement.

For Wolves second, I do not think it should have been disallowed, Kasper’s view was not obscured by. Wolves player and he was not looking at those in the ‘offside’ positions
