.....watched him on YouTube, has an eye for a pass, dictates the way the team plays, does what it says on the tin!!!

Despite everything, more than "top" elements, it's a collective, a collective that needs balance, and the three players mentioned are part of it. I would add the executives of the team, at the club since 2017, the right side and captain Traoré, the midfielder Bourigeaud, combative, Tait before his injury, useful in transitions. Don't forget that Terrier scored almost as many goals as Laborde. Doku is unpredictable, and can be very dangerous with his dribbling and speed.
Now, as has been said, Rennes have low periods, often during the same match. And for two months, Rennes no longer won. It's a paradoxical team, young, less comfortable on the outside. The player we wonder about the most is the goalkeeper, Gomis, not always very inspired, and not decisive enough. One of our defensive flaws is deep balls, and a lack of physical impact (no big guys here).

Totally agree. My three were "3 to watch" rather than a Top 3 of our absolute best players

.....had to take a look for myself!!!

He seems to play with his head up, very brave passing out of defence, Rodgers would love that, very calm on the ball not sure how he would handle pressure with a forward constantly closing him down. His heading looked a bit suspect, the balls flying off in different directions than he is facing, but you cannot get away from someone who can bring the ball out of defence with that amount of authority with the trust of the players infront of him.

JJ being thrown straight back in then, where as Maddison remains on the bench again. I really hope that's fitness related and not system related as we are so so limited without Maddison its scary.

Bon, en réalité, c'est lui que j'aurais cité car c'est la révélation de la saison, il partait pour être seulement troisième ou quatrième arrière central en août et il est devenu titulaire dès le mois de septembre à tel point qu'il devrait être en équipe de France Espoirs à la fin du mois.
