But still to be convinced that patson can cope with being up top on his own …. 1

He is a doubt like Maddison, was injured over the week-end but is apparently fit to play. If he starts, he'll be the one directing the way Rennes plays. Is a passing genius straight out of the "Yougoslavian" school of passing geniuses. He isn't particularly fast or strong, he doesn't look "special" but he is deadly. He joined Rennes in September, take a look at his highlights since, it's pure old-fashioned football porn (his match against Lyon was... something else) .....watched him on YouTube, has an eye for a pass, dictates the way the team plays, does what it says on the tin!!!

He is fast, great anticipation and timing, incredibly relaxed (sometimes a tad too much to our liking) and has an incredible foot an eye for a pass that will break a couple of lines from the back. A future world-class Centre-back if he continues improving at this rate. - Lovro Majer at midfield. He is a doubt like Maddison, was injured over the week-end but is apparently fit to play. He is the guy we have been waiting for since the days Alexander Frei was our striker. He can score in any position, he is charismatic, he is pressing tirelessly off the ball and deadly with the ball... He had a slightly more difficult patch over the winter but now he is back with 4 goals in 5 games. Give him an inch of space and he will Vardy you real quick Despite everything, more than "top" elements, it's a collective, a collective that needs balance, and the three players mentioned are part of it. I would add the executives of the team, at the club since 2017, the right side and captain Traoré, the midfielder Bourigeaud, combative, Tait before his injury, useful in transitions. Don't forget that Terrier scored almost as many goals as Laborde. Doku is unpredictable, and can be very dangerous with his dribbling and speed. Now, as has been said, Rennes have low periods, often during the same match. And for two months, Rennes no longer won. It's a paradoxical team, young, less comfortable on the outside. The player we wonder about the most is the goalkeeper, Gomis, not always very inspired, and not decisive enough. One of our defensive flaws is deep balls, and a lack of physical impact (no big guys here).

sacreblueits442 Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 .....had to take a look for myself!!! He seems to play with his head up, very brave passing out of defence, Rodgers would love that, very calm on the ball not sure how he would handle pressure with a forward constantly closing him down. His heading looked a bit suspect, the balls flying off in different directions than he is facing, but you cannot get away from someone who can bring the ball out of defence with that amount of authority with the trust of the players infront of him.
kingkisnorbo Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 Anyone know how many Rennes have got coming over. Couldn’t find anything on it. 1

Roazhon Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 a problem of obtaining a passport for many, very long delays.
Ric Flair Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 JJ being thrown straight back in then, where as Maddison remains on the bench again. I really hope that's fitness related and not system related as we are so so limited without Maddison its scary. 1

Sachant qu'à cause du passeport, pas mal de rennais ont décidé d'aller soutenir le SRFC dimanche à Lyon pour un match capital de L1 (ils seront minimum 500 ce qui sera un record pour le SRFC à Lyon). sacreblueits442 Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 Transalation from @Roazhon Da Viken Oh no, you did not have the right to discover it until tomorrow since it is our only pro player that I had the chance to meet by being an assistant referee of his team in youth (U13 A then U15 A) while I coached the last U13 team of the club at the time in addition on Saturday morning. Well, in reality, it is he that I would have quoted because it is the revelation of the season, he left to be only third or fourth central back in August and he became a starter in September to such an extent that he should be in the team of France Espoirs at the end of the month
