But prices can't be frozen indefinitely. I don't think the timing is great, but when is a good time to put up prices? When was the last time they increased the price of a season ticket? I think our season tickets are pretty good value. I have more of an issue with the cost of individual match tickets, even though they don't affect me as a season ticket holder. Who are they? The club or Top? The club has 3 consecutive years of losses, adding up to £121m, so it is not like they are sitting on a pile of cash. Since King Power acquired LCFC in August 2010, the owners have put in £352m (£246m loans and £106m share capital), including £162m in the last two years alone. In fact, in the ten years up to 2020, they have provided the 6th highest funding in the Premier League, so it's not like TOP isn't putting his hand in his pocket. Well the club I would suggest not Top. However the last lot of losses all come down to covid. And my point still remains making a million pound dent in 30 million losses still seems a very strange way of going about things. They need to look at our wage bill 1st and foremost if it's not sustainable then something drastic needs to change charging a family another 35 pound a month isn't gonna drastically affect investment which is the line they plan to peddle

You would not expect Vardy to want to stop playing, I suspect every game he doesn't play is frustrating for him and this season has been rife with injuries, so I would think he would put it down as one of those things.

rachhere Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 It's an annoying blip for Vardy, but you could see just how much it means to him to be out there playing at a top level. While he's still able to compete in the PL he will remain with us.
Md9 Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 He might not want to stop playing but his body might not give him much of a choice if he can’t play more than 2 games before getting injured again 🙈 1
Stevosevic Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 He'll play out the last year of his deal here even it means hes not playing much. No way he's walking away from that money by retiring
Lambert09 Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 (edited) If Madison is out, we should play a variation of 442. It would be a tough call between wilf and youri though.... kdh should be nailed on Edited 9 March 2022 by Lambert09

The wage bill exist due to having to be in someway competitive in order to attract and retain players. We do tend to want to lock players down quickly and we cannot afford to take the risk of developing a player only for him to leave as we could not afford to compete with what he is looking for. This year is not exactly the best time to choose to raise prices, although they have held back for some time in raising the cost, circumstances has now made life a little harder to endure, something will have to give. 1

Probably sensible. Given these two Rennes games are the priority it's no biggie if he makes his return on Sunday instead as we need to be full strength in these 2 games. Yes I have no idea what the protocol is now. And (unless he's actually ill, as you say) the protocol is presumably the issue because legally he could crack on. I'm not sure what the situation is for the return tie against Rennes...

They're just completely nullified on their own I disagree, just needs Barnes and Maddison to hook up better with either one of them. Have nothing against them being on the pitch at the same time, i just feel our best formation is 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 (with tight support from the wider 2) 2

(Possibilities that we lose our only strikers) and not run away from the responsibilities & play our best & front men together..Daka & Nacho should start on Thursday... 1

In the Rennes stand, where you will be, you will not be next to an organized group of supporters. In this grandstand, it never really caught on, it's like 3/4 of the stadium, a "family" audience. You will face, on the opposite side, the Roazhon Celtic Kop, the only loud and active group, and you may be lucky enough to see one of their tifos for the occasion. Moreover, tomorrow, finally, Lovro Majer is in the group. Edited 9 March 2022 by Roazhon
Corky Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 Daka and Iheanacho up front please. Ease Maddison back in, maybe off the bench.

In a 4-2-3-1, neither Nacho or Daka performs effectively as lone strikers. Daka as we have seen does not trouble the oppositions backline and they get an easy ride, he is easily marshalled 3 versus 1. Nacho wants to drop into the #10 position, playing with his back to goal and can link the play. As a lone striker (being the furthest Forward), it is not what he wants to do, but we keep trying it for some reason. I suspect Rodgers will want to match up with Rennes or adopt a defensive formation and attempt to play with a back three, in order to control the game. It is a go to move by Rodgers, who is a naturally cautious manager in these situations.

steveherbe Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 Vardy out!! FFS, they should offer us a full refund. It's like buying a ticket to see Queen, then finding out they've been replaced by Steps and Bucks Fizz!!
RowlattsFox Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 Kasper Justin Amartey Soyuncu Thomas Tielemans Ndidi Dewsbury-Hall Maddison Iheanacho Barnes I like Daka but it's the right time to give Iheanacho a go again, links up well with Barnes. Tempted to go with Lookman instead of Tielemans and move Madders into midfield but feel we need extra stability. Maddison from the right isn't great but licence to roam I think we need Albrighton at Arsenal so save his legs a little.
