The Premier League in general or LCFC? as i was talking in general. If anything LCFC have been great with their prices in the past 10 years. I find it hard to believe its cheaper to go and watch a premier game now that it was 15 years ago. 1

Football will start to fall down people's pecking order. Wouldn't surprise me if season tickets drop off next season to especially with them going up in price. Agreed. Away tickets will become less popular as well, hard to justify probably £50 (at best) per person every 2/3 weeks when you consider all of the other price rises (Fuel, gas, NI hikes, inflation) I do believe a financial crisis is just around the corner, we’re all gonna be absolutely battered in the next 12 months. 4

Absolutely, bills will cripple many.

(Wish me luck) Depends on what you call "nearish". I often eat in St. Martin's Square or Queens Road with the family and walk to the ground from there.but if there are mobility issues -- or moaning issues with the child -- things get sparse closer in. 1

We are there is no escaping it. The October energy price cap is going to be the straw that breaks a lot of peoples backs. There isnt one household bill that wont go up this year so the luxury that is football will just be too much for some. If my DD for my season ticket goes above the £50 a month mark it will be time that i hand it back i think. I took the decision this season not to do any cup or European games to try and save some money but it is getting harder and harder to justify the Direct Debit now as well, especially when the games can now be pretty much any day of the week. I cant be the only one either... 1

The amount of money Premier League clubs receive from TV money and they’d have the cheek to raise prices when the rest of society is on its knees. They are a business, every other business seems to be putting up prices. If they increase by 5% that approx another £25 or £1.32 a game. Once you throw in your season ticket you won't get another bite for years and will have to pay walk up prices. 5

The point is. 8% which was discussed still only equates to around 700k maybe a million if you average out the season ticket price range. It's absolutely peanuts to the club, yet they will trott out the continuing investment line. Investment where. They found a 100 million for a training ground. That 700k would barely pay for the heating bill, or a players wages for 2 months. Yes the owners have been good to us and the reaction at the FCC was most people would accept it. But right now it would be a huge kick in the teeth to many Then again I guess the club would love to price all the working class out of the ground and replace them with nice wealthy well behaved individuals or families and fill the ground with 42000 clappers every week. Maybe we should replace #fearless with #sanitised 1 1
moore_94 Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 Pre-match Press Conference vs Rennes - Luke Thomas On his season so far, Thomas said: "A very special moment for me. Great for my family and friends and it's a dream come true for me and hopefully many more to come." On his partnership with fellow homegrown talents Harvey Barnes and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Thomas said: "We've known each other for a long time and hopefully we can keep going and scoring goals." On the prospect of facing Rennes, Thomas said: "It was one of the toughest ties in the round they're fourth in the league which shows how well they're doing." On the importance of the competition... "With how the season has gone it's a big competition for us it gets us in the Europa League which is our aim for the season. Hopefully we'll get through to the next round and hopefully see you in the final in May." On City's recent form... "Recently we've been back to ourselves and hopefully that can continue and we can continue to score goals." Thomas hopes City can make the most of home advantage in the first leg against Rennes... "It's always hard to play away in Europe we've not had the best of results so hopefully we can show what we can do." On the feeling within the City squad right now... "We've got a great mentality and it's about sticking together at the minute we've been getting the results we want and hopefully that can continue." On having Jamie Vardy back from injury... "Vards is a great guy to have around he's a great character all he does is score goals so its great to have him back." More on Barnes and KDH... "First memories with Kiernan was at 15/16, he was tiny he's probably grown a bit. "Barnes is a bit older he's a great guy and one of my best mates now you can see the chemistry on the pitch." On the imminent return of Wesley Fofana... "Wes is a great player at such a young age he showed that last season. "It'll always be a boost (having him back) and he'll know Rennes and the quality that they have."

Maybe we should replace #fearless with #sanitised I think you'll find we are one of the cheapest and if they do increase the prices then you cannot really blame them regardless of how much (or little comparative) income in generates. Even 700k still is an increase in bottom line. We are lucky that the owners have been so good to us over the last decade or so. You also have the option to pay over the year interest free (which most other clubs do not offer) so would hardly lead to pricing out working class fans. Probably equate to less than 1 less beer per match and most may think this is fine still. 2

They had a whole power point made for it Now take that one beer and x it by 4 for a family. Soon starts adding up. But as I say the club have made it clear where they stand on what sort of demographic they want as a fan base.

The fact it they really don't need this money. The same as they really didn't need our 70 quid after giving us a refund, what was the point and technically they spent it all in less that a couple of months anyway even with furlough. I'm shocked so many are happy to sit and accept it. It's terrible timing as well. 3

Don't take that last comment personally.
