Mads probably but if I averaged the games it would be kdh as JM was shocking in the first part of the season. KDH has changed everything for us imo

worth a shout out for big Dan as well who has well exceed expectations

If Vardy and KDH had played more games, then they'd both be in contention. As they hadn't, it's got to be Madders. Today's goal just confirmed it. Southgate should give him another chance.

Honourable mention for Dan.

Feels like a lot of recency bias with all the Maddison love. He’s shown his quality and is great form right now, but until he scored at Brentford in late October, there was an awful lot of slagging him off as he hadn’t had a goal contribution since last February.

He’s definitely worthy of being in the discussion for Player of the Season, but I can’t see how anyone can say he stands out as the clear pick, or that he has “carried” us.

It’s far more recency bias with KDH who barely played before January.

Everyone remembers Maddison was poor until October, but you spread those poor performances out throughout the season and then people wouldn’t even be debating he should be winning it.

I’d say it’s only because his poor performances came in a streak rather than not paced out throughout the season that people aren’t voting him.

He absolutely should be winning it. He absolutely stands out as the clear pick and he absolutely has been carrying us from an attacking sense for months now.

The point is when you look at it across the whole season he’s won us (or earnt us draws) comfortably more games than any other player. And contributed the most positively over the season.

I went for KDH.

To those saying he hasn't played enough, he has played 32 times for us this season in all competitions.  He has been a revelation and forced his way into the starting XI before anybody expected him  to.   His injection of energy, above all, was what we badly needed and he has really lifted us.

Honourable mentions for Big Dan who has grown into his role this season and stepped up when we needed him, for Luke Thomas who continues to improve, to James Maddison for getting back to his best and for his goals and quality and to Jannick Vestergaard for his comedy value.

His goal contribution this season has won us 19 points in all competitions. 11 of those points were in the league. That's JUST the games that his goals or assists turned a defeat into a draw/draw into a win. Take those out and we would be exactly where Everton are.

Easy for me this one and I’m shocked by his low score.

Kasper has kept out so many goals this season, behind a rubbish defence. If he wasn’t for him, we’d have seen cricket scores!

For this forum to seriously be placing Amartey above Kasper tells me all I need to know (that this is a barmy place)

I’m also surprised at the number of votes for Maddison. Recently he’s been superb but for the first half of the season was either not involved or absolutely fookin pants!

🤷‍♂️

Voted for Maddison, this time last year I'd have driven him to Arsenal but after the first few games he's been great and I'd now be gutted if he left.

Special mention to Dewsbury-Hall who has been great and Schmeichel who's made some brilliant saves.

Maddison gets it for me. He had a tough start to the season but has since got his swagger back and is putting himself in the frame for an England world cup spot IMO.

Would have Kasper just behind, he's had so many good games for us this season and got us out of trouble. Think it has been one of his best seasons though let down by what has been in front of him and can't really put him as winning it given just how many goals we have shipped.

Picked Kasper coz he gets slagged on here loads but Dan Amarty is playing at a level I didn't think he was anywhere near.

Most Improved Player - Dan Amarty. Been vital for us this year, great attitude and it can't be easy to learn a new position when you've got Cags playing like he has along side you.

Cags was great with the calming influence of Evans next to him, what's Dan got to work with.

Many people have short memories. Maddison was dreadful until January. KDH, Thomas, Vardy, Amartey all ahead of him for me.

The same is applicable to Kasper who has been massively at fault for the number of set pieces we have conceded from IMO.

Of which nearly half have been sub appearances of less than 20 minutes where you can barely say he’s impacted the game.

Dewsbury-Hall has started 18 (maybe 19 after yesterday I think) games in all competitions. He has played less minutes than Vardy or Castagne who’ve spent a good chunk of the season injured.

I think Vardy is a better shout than KDH if you’re choosing a player whose played only about half the season.

You’re the one with the short memory if you thought Maddison was poor in late November and December, He was scoring for fun back then. Pretty sure he was nominated for PL Player of the Month in December even.

I can never find these stats,  Is that just league minutes, because I would be surprised if those two are ahead of KDH in minutes played in all competitions?

Anyway, just my opinion.

I got it from who scored, but tbf I just checked and it doesn’t seem to track Europa Conference League minutes on there or the Charity Shield either, so was PL, Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup.

James Maddison for me. I still think there's a bit of a conundrum with him where he needs to produce a bit more when we're crying out for it, but you can't really argue with his numbers this season and he can feel totally robbed that he's not made the England squad. Off the back of such a poor run as well he's turned it right around.

Dewsbury-Hall second. Third is tough. Possibly even Vardy.

Actually think it's too early really - given there's no obvious candidate I'd probably see what happens in Europe before casting a guaranteed vote.

Amartey can't be our player if the season, playing as a defender in a team that ships goals for fun. Up until recently, we've got one of the worst defensive and xGa of all time in the Premier League. He's been one of the better players in what is a bad bunch (this season).

Offensively we've been okay in all honesty, bar the odd game here and there. We're not exactly exciting to watch at times, however we can turn that in an instant when we've got players like Maddison, Tielemans, Barnes, Daka, Iheanacho and Vardy.

The most likely answer is KDH or Maddison.

Bertrand definitely gets the wooden spoon.
