The fact these soft penalties are being given means now any touch in the box has fans screaming for a penalty.

When var was introduced my hope was that these soft penalties would be seen for what they are and diving would become less of an issue. However players have learnt that any contact means penalties given won’t be overturned, meaning that the faintest contact will result in a penalty which encourages them going down for the slightest touch. Var has really got to look at weather the contact is enough for the player to go down, because anyone who’s played the game will know that a lot of these dives wouldn’t be enough to bring you down.

I thought after the first half hour we were comfortable. Kiernan gets better week after week. Lookman took his goal well and defensively we were solid.

Zaha for all his talent proved today why he is not good enough for the ‘elite’ level. His petulance and attitude stinks. The pathetic celebration of trying to goad Schmeichel and Maddison after missing a penalty twice and getting a rebound says it all about his attitude. If you can’t hack someone trying to put you off scoring a penalty then you need to grow a thicker skin at this level. The fact he blanked Schmeichel’s hand shake at full time says all you need to know about his attitude. Plays with a massive chip on his shoulder, everyone else’s fault when it doesn’t go his way

Noticed that Justin had a couple of runs in the last ten minutes and Zaha was just stood on the half way line, hands on hips, the same Zaha who spent 90 minutes calling out his team mates mistakes. I think the Latin for Zaha is “attitudos problemos”

Did you see his reaction when he missed the pass and the ball went out of play? Like a petulant primary school kid.

Tosser.

Yes, one of three occasions I sang “cry in a minute”! The guy doesn’t need a coach he needs a psychologist.

Few have said before he genuinely looks like he hates playing football. Complaining about his teammates and being a general arse. Don’t get me started on that Barnet either.

Flip side is Luke Thomas who they kept zooming in on for throw-ins and was having the time of his life lol

Haven't read the thread but my oh my when Daka starts it's like playing a man down, terrible performance again, he doesn't make runs, lacks ball control, he doesn't link play. Please don't say he passed to KDH for his goal, not only was it a pass a 5 year old could make, KDH made the goal out of nothing. It's a real problem if Vardy is going to be constantly unfit and his days are numbered. Thomas is out of his depth aswell, unfortunately. Excellent win though 7 changes playing an in form Palace. Oh and Tielemans was arse aswell.

I think about half the game was Thomas taking a throw in. Badly.

Agree on Tielemans. Daka will come good he’s just trying way too hard. Thomas played steady as he always does imo.

I remember Noel Gallagher once describing his brother Liam as "a man with a fork in a world full of soup". A saying that can also be applied to Zaha. He has the air of someone who thinks he's owed a better career than he's had, and is angry at the whole world because of it.

Cant stand him, seems like an absolute bell end. Did make me laugh that he missed 2 pens, got lucky with a rebound and then went mad with his celebration despite being 2-1 down and eventually losing anyway. Wouldn't want him in a leicester shirt that's for sure!

Enjoyed the match, free can of beer always helps, Palace have some good players but several were not.
Always felt we were in charge and Kasper saved any embarrassment.

Mendy and KDH were a revaluation, Thomas in the first half and Patson had bad days at the office .

40 points- tick

…,on to Thursday

Mate, we are talking about today's match, not the Forest match.

We were the better side.  The sky is not collapsing on our heads.

I know it’s de rigueur at the moment to slag off Tielemans but he put in a shift and linked up play well. Made a mistake. Why don’t people get off his back.

Apart from the dopey foul that gave away the penalty I also thought he was decent today. Certainly not as bad as people are making out he was. Thought he knuckled down after their pen and helped us manage the game out pretty comfortably.

Why must Brendan touch everyone's face?

He is evidently quite into touching his own face too. I can’t help but fixate on it in his interviews. A Liverpool supporting mate mentioned it to me the day we signed him. Now I can’t not see it!

I don’t mind Zaha. He’s clearly got “issues” as they say, and he’s never really fulfilled his early potential. When he joined Man U, I thought he was going to kick on and become a top goal scorer, but it seemed to go sour very soon after he moved.

Fair play to him for going back to Palace and sticking at it. (You could argue that Danny Drinkwater should have done the same with City when things didn’t work out at Chelsea).

Sure Zaha’s a mardy sod who complains about everything, but he’s been very good for Palace over the years, and they’ll miss him when he’s gone.

And, I would say, it took some guts to retake the pen and follow it up when Kasper saved the second one.

I’ll get me coat then. And me tin hat.

If that shot early in the second half had not been saved no one would mention the pen! He didn’t have his best game, but I’d rather have him in the team than not.

Tilly wasnt great but had couple of very good attempts and drew a ridiculous save from keeper Playing less far up as he should but makes some killer passes and takes the ball on in tight areas
