Is there any chance you rest some players with the Dutch Cup final on Sunday?

0 chance. Dutch cup is the last priority of season even if it’s against Ajax. No supporter would forgive Schmidt if he didn’t line up best 11. Thursday is big :)

my money is on 1-1 and hopefully then a nice pen serie or drama in extra time.

Start Daka and hope for the kind of space behind he had in Moscow.

Let's hope he steps up then.

So far unfortunately not good enough.

Shows a few flashes of potential improvement but so far one for the future.

I’ve noticed a decline for Daka. Started off promising but haven’t been impressed for months, and I really want to be.

They were good but evidently wary enough to put men behind the ball. They can’t afford to do that at home. There should be some space to exploit. Ideally we have everyone fit apart from Vardy and NDidi. High press from the off and kill the tie by half time :trumpet:

I don’t want to see Youri as the DM. He hasn’t got the legs for it and he’s too deep to create. I think I’d even take Choudhury if we must keep the same shape, but ideally I’d revert to 4-2-3-1 and get Maddison back to where he belongs as a number 10.

I’ve been enjoying the chilled out nature of our league matches recently but this is going to be tense.

Schmeichel

Ricardo Fofana Evans Castagne

Mendy

Maddison KDH

Lookman Nacho Barnes

Mendy is illegible - not in the European squad mate

Albrighton has clearly been rested for Thursday, too. Lookman off the bench

Yeah from the looks of it I’d give it a 3% chance he will start. Huge miss for us. we didn’t play well at all either. Attack is lacking so with the miss of Madueke

Leicester chances just improved 10%.

Aren’t you also in a cup final 3 days later? What will your priority be?

I reckon it goes to Penalties and then anything can happen.

If we play like we did in the first half against them or in the first half today we can beat them.

I really hate penalties...

Is Vardy still going to be fit for this one (likely from the bench)?

I know he was touted as being back for this game

Very unlikely I would think.

Surely with PSV being 7 points clear of 3rd place in their table and only 4 points off top with a few games to go, they have a much better chance of european qualification.

Therefore I would only guess as this is our only hopeful route to european football, they may have to concentrate on other games unlike us...

Big occasion, Albrighton does the business. Its inevitable he starts at right wing.  Lookman is unlucky not to start ahead of Barnes, but the extra counter attacking pace probably shades it. Interesting that Ricardo didn't play yesterday when the rest of the back 4 were changed. Saving him for this? Does appear Justin is first choice though.

Going to be tough. The away goal rule could've been useful for us as I fancy us to score, could be a long and nerve wrecking evening.

Believe me, Thursday is for now the only day that counts. We won’t save any players because of the league or because our cup final 3 days later, we will play with our strongest 11 available. Everyone is ready, club, team and fans.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing Madueke is out. Especially in a home game where we don’t get a lot of space I believe someone like Veerman (or Doan) could be more useful than Madueke who brings a lot of speed. Veerman is the man who needs to give our attacking players the ball (like he did with Götze last week after 2 minutes)
We are lucky Gutierrez is back, he was out due to a suspension in the first leg. He has proven to be a great tandem with Sangare in midfield.

I think PSV likely will play:

Mvogo

Mauro - Ramalho - Boscagli - Max

Sangare - Guti

Götze

Veerman - Zahavi - Gakpo

If they are 7 points clear, I would think they will prioritise winning a trophy. If you look at the sides they have lost to in the league (Ajax, AZ, Feyenoord). They can beat 85% of opposition at a canter in the league.

They lose the Cup final on Sunday it's not the worse thing in the world for them. If their next game was a league game against Ajax or Feyenoord, yeah they'd have a problem then.
