Blimey 😂

Couldnt be more wrong

I’m all for generating a good atmosphere and for that reason alone I’ll be in L for this

Thats not saying SK1 won’t make a racket, but there’s definitely a snobbishness developing from SK1 towards L and K.

I stand in SK1 and everyone I know up there doesn’t slag off L/K. We try and listen out for what you’re singing (and other parts of the ground for that matter) and join in with you guys when we hear it.

plus when the stadium expansion happens we’ll probably all be in the same area anyway

Not for league games next season no

Next step is for it to be permanent/ guaranteed for every cup game I suppose.

Sadly we probably won’t see it in league games until the expansion.

i am not against a singing section. However i challenge the idea that you are the "best fans"

How are you justifying that?

We are all fans.  Each person has the right to sing, shout, clap as they see fit.

the atmosphere against PSV was the best in a long while. i would imagine against Roma it will be even better.

COYB

No idea about ‘best fans’, not really sure what that means.
Certainly never seen that mentioned before.

Rennes was far superior noise wise to PSV. This though, has to be even better.

Likewise we try to listen for SK1 too

But you only have to read some of the comments (the one I replied to wasn’t the first I’ve seen) to see there’s an element of snobbishness coming from some

Best supporters would be more correct.

And tbh those that try to provide the lads with atmosphere are supporting the team better than those that aren't.

Not better fans, better supporters.

I'm delighted this is back for such a big game.

I don't think those who sing are necessarily better fans, in the sense that raising your voice doesn't prove you care more about the club.

But I do think it's fair to say that vocal supporters are more impactful - that is to say their passionate is felt and reasonates more within the stadium.

To everyone attending, make your passion felt, either in the section or elsewhere.

For the record, my post didn’t say anyone who sings is a better fan. It said it’s strange how English clubs don’t want this demographic of fan where as on my tour of PSV stadium they said the ultras “were the best fans” which surprised me.

Yep, it is an odd one, people here just seem to think just turning up is 'support', that just doesn't cut it in other countries.  It still makes no sense to me that remain the only country where the more vocal fans aren't given their own end.

I guess it stems back to the Taylor report, the desperation of clubs to clamp out hooliganism, new stadiums, the ban on standing etc etc....

But it just seems so easy just to give an end to those who want to create an atmosphere.

Of course if that was to happen at the King power they'll be those moaning about having to move, this is also one of the problems, the fans in England have a much more individual approach to supporting their team than elsewhere.

I did write a long post on here about this but decided not to post it. The disasters of late 80s and early 90s gave justification to carry out a lot of changes -IMO they went too far.  It became political

Seeing atmosphere at Rennes away really shone a light onto how quiet the King Power is.

TBF, a lot of English grounds suffer and the no standing doesn’t help

I sit in L block and the atmosphere is overrated, the back and forth banter/wind up with the away fans is the only highlight.

It's rare that everyone sings in unison, it should be better no doubt.

I'll glad the club are now engaging more with fans and the singing section is expanding.

Long may it continue :appl:

There's not been anything on the contrary on here though, not for a very long time. Just a bizarre post putting words in people's mouths about people that stand and sing claiming to be the "best fans", which no one ever said at all.

Hopefully both blocks will be on top for next week, we desperately need it as Roma will bring a fvcking mob and a half.

Most of them too coked off their heads to remember the game, more interested in having a row with Showsec than getting behind the side half the time. Also difficult to banter with fans that have no idea what you're on about and are more interested in having a camp little bounce-athon than swapping hand gestures.

Are in K or L ?....I am in K1, sat down though, and they do a great job of getting the atmosphere going even in crappy low key games.

Banter with opposition fans has always been part of footie culture and long may it continue.

No but I know people that do that are regularly called out unnecessarily. The biggest myth going is that the club want the atmosphere to be crap.

Can you let us know who decides why we have goal music and have a word?

Oooooo my names iancognito and I wear a black ufs t shirt thinking I’m an Eastern European ultra and stand in sk1 chanting songs that nobody can understand 😴

Do you genuinely think someone who is involved with UFS would write that about L1? Like did you genuinely think the person you've quoted is involved in UFS lol

Anyway half sold in the first hour.
