Drones searching for a nuke in downtown DC? Not the most obvious place to keep it I’ll hand you that.

Yea I have no idea just seen a lot of posts about it.

I guess if you was going to blow something up it would be in the city though, maybe explosive material / chemicals could be detected from these drones.

These also rumours that they may do it to prevent Trump from coming into power. Declaring war through a nuclear false flag may be a good way of doing that.

Everything is a conspiracy theory until it happens

Which it invariably does not.

And pointedly, you have that the wrong way round. Conspiracy believers love to claim that conspiracies that have been outed were previously theories.

If it’s on TCAS then I think that means it would’ve had a transponder as TCAS isn’t radar per se. I could be wrong but I think the TCAS system requires both aircraft to have their transponders active.

You're half right mate 😊

It's a secondary radar in the aircraft itself, and yeah, both would be active. What is puzzling is that no IDENT was mentioned if it was appearing on TCAS, maybe that'll come out further down the line. The speed exhibited by the object is also puzzling, nothing 'known' demonstrates that speed between those two points - this could be a mistake from one observer, but from several, it does seem more implausible. It would be interesting to know if the flight record was offloaded and if the pilot passed that to ATC along with the video.

Lastly, if it was military, why would they even have their transponder on? Once mil aircraft take off they pretty much go dark, there may be one that emits for a group whilst moving out of high traffic corridors, you can see for yourself on ADSB that once an aircraft goes up, it'll go dark within a few minutes. Especially if it's an active sortie..similar to the launches over the UK last week.

If I had to put money on the origin of these drones, I’d say China or USA. USA seems most likely to have the capability and could be testing out some new technology that they don’t want people to know about. China is a little more far-fetched but does make some sense, the idea being that they want to stop the West and Russia from doing anything crazy so are putting doubt in their minds, but also want plausible deniability so are doing it to their own bases too. Russia, on the other hand, tend to go these days with implausible deniability - ie, something happens, it’s obviously them, they say “it wasn’t us”, all the time they want people to know it was them regardless. This doesn’t fit that pattern. And I can’t see it being a European country being behind it. An underground group is possible but that would likely take a lot of individuals in on a secret. If it is that then surely at least one national intelligence agency will be onto that by now.

Of course, you could always go with the theory that it’s time travellers from the future trying to prevent a war after their attempts at assassinating Trump all failed.

We always assume the worst of aliens, maybe that’s why they haven’t introduced themselves yet

Or they assume, possibly accurately, the worst of us.

Wonder what is going on with all these drones and ufos everywhere. Can’t be a good thing, that’s for sure.

Of course - Santa's had to upgrade his distribution system, given the rise in number of presents. The old reindeer network was beginning to creak at the seams.

Seen some stuff on SM where prominent flat earthers have been flown out to chile and then the South Pole to show them that their theory is bollux

But have they actually been flown there, or is it just an elaborate and very cold film studio to show them a 24 hour sun?

It's not like seeing evidence is going to convince them, they'll just add another layer to the conspiracy to fit their beliefs.

The flearthers are high profile and broadcasting online from Antarctica.  But you’re right - they’re already being accused of being in on the conspiracy.

Absolutely nothing; there are huge numbers of drone users who like to purposely get a rise out of people because most don't know the rules.

I'd wager the vast majority are just your usual hobbyists  / wind-up merchants out flying to get a reaction.

Don't let Occam's Razor stand in the way of some good old fashioned soapbox conspiracy debate, mate. :D

Airspace over Wright-Patterson AFB was reportedly shut down for an hour or so earlier in the week due to an incursion. I’m surprised a hobbyist drone can get anywhere near it, let alone over it to temporarily shut down its airspace.

This is actually fake news
