Gray having one of his "superb" games tonight

I’d have him back tomorrow, just needed a manager to give him a long run in the side. In a better side he’d shine, he’s got it all, just didn’t have a chance here when we were better.

At Leicester, he had four managers and they all decided the same

It’s documented that he’s had personal and mental issues.  If he’s over those then he’s an asset to any PL side …

Let’s not rewrite history for Gray.

As many others said he had more than enough chances but like clockwork would look above good in a short cameo be given a starting position and stink the joint out through lack of tactical awareness, laziness to name a few with him being bombed out after a couple of starts.

(rinse and repeat)

For whatever reason he didn’t produce the goods consistently, that’s why he’s at Everton now and not Man City. He had enough chances here under different managers, we all wanted him to succeed but was just very frustrating.

Yes as all wingers are. The most difficult thing to do in the game is to run with the ball and go past people, it happens rarely in a game and currently never at Leicester. We’ve still not seen or signed anyone better or more consistent.

I know Barnes has been pony since the WC break but you’re joking surely?

Look at Barnes’ numbers and compare them to Gray’s 🙈

It's astonishing how people on here don't rate Barnes. Of wingers outside the big 6, only Zaha has delivered goals and assists at a rate similar to Harvey over the past 3 or so seasons. Gray is way off that kind of level.

My problem with him is his total lack of intensity or working for the team in large parts of many games. He and we would be much improved if he’d just put everything into games. Tends to only come alive when we are on top or against weaker opposition

I agree, unfortunately whenever we lose most people have to blame someone.......Barnes has been generally very good for most of the season, most forget that & only see the here & now.

There’s no comparison of wingers nowadays though because how many teams actually play with wingers? Even in the top 6 there’s only really Arsenal.

People on here used to laugh at Zaha’s numbers.

Zaha has delivered good numbers in the past couple of seasons.

May be an image of 1 person, beard and text that says "Man Utd have introduced a salary cap to ensure nobody in the squad is paid significantly more than their teammates. From now on, new contracts and signings will be capped at £200,000-a-week (Daily Mail)"

We're not the only team trying to reduce the wages bill then :P

How did Andy Robertson get away with that deliberate stamp?
LiVARpool getting away with a goal chalked off and Salah offside for his goal.  Everything goes in their favour at home, because they are the media darlings nothing is questioned.

It's not offside if you're played in by an opposition player is it? I agree the disallowed Wolves goal was a farce though.
