If he’s over those then he’s an asset to any PL side … 2

He was given every chance, he could just never put a run of 3 or 4 decent games together in a row. Which is exactly the same as what’s happening now at Everton. No one doubts his ability, but he has no consistency and has never done it over long periods. 8

He’s still exactly the same player he was for us. 1 great game in 10 with 9 stinkers either side. Everton fans all think he’s lazy and crap who has the very odd blinding game exactly like he was here. I’m not the biggest fan of Perez but even he is still a better player than Gray. Cannot believe people genuinely want Demarai Gray back, he was crap and still is. 8
Popular Post RumbleFox Posted 7 January 2023 Popular Post Posted 7 January 2023 Haaland blanking really emphasis just how good Vardy was and how amazing his 11 in a row was. God damn I miss that side. 5 1
SafewayFox Posted 7 January 2023 Posted 7 January 2023 Let’s not rewrite history for Gray. As many others said he had more than enough chances but like clockwork would look above good in a short cameo be given a starting position and stink the joint out through lack of tactical awareness, laziness to name a few with him being bombed out after a couple of starts. (rinse and repeat) 1
whetstonefox Posted 7 January 2023 Posted 7 January 2023 For whatever reason he didn’t produce the goods consistently, that’s why he’s at Everton now and not Man City. He had enough chances here under different managers, we all wanted him to succeed but was just very frustrating. 1

The most difficult thing to do in the game is to run with the ball and go past people, it happens rarely in a game and currently never at Leicester. We’ve still not seen or signed anyone better or more consistent.

Popular Post Sunbury Fox Posted 7 January 2023 Popular Post Posted 7 January 2023 It's astonishing how people on here don't rate Barnes. Of wingers outside the big 6, only Zaha has delivered goals and assists at a rate similar to Harvey over the past 3 or so seasons. Gray is way off that kind of level. 12 1

My problem with him is his total lack of intensity or working for the team in large parts of many games. He and we would be much improved if he’d just put everything into games. Tends to only come alive when we are on top or against weaker opposition

I agree, unfortunately whenever we lose most people have to blame someone.......Barnes has been generally very good for most of the season, most forget that & only see the here & now. 1

There’s no comparison of wingers nowadays though because how many teams actually play with wingers? Even in the top 6 there’s only really Arsenal. People on here used to laugh at Zaha’s numbers.

Mike1983 Posted 7 January 2023 Posted 7 January 2023 Losing to Forest would be a direct ticket down to the championship. 2
davieG Posted 8 January 2023 Posted 8 January 2023 We're not the only team trying to reduce the wages bill then
Wortho Posted 8 January 2023 Posted 8 January 2023 How did Andy Robertson get away with that deliberate stamp? LiVARpool getting away with a goal chalked off and Salah offside for his goal. Everything goes in their favour at home, because they are the media darlings nothing is questioned.

It's not offside if you're played in by an opposition player is it? I agree the disallowed Wolves goal was a farce though.
