how we signed Leitzig I'll never know, she's top class. Still lacking the cutting edge going forward, how long before Siemsen is up to speed?

Indeed. Nobody expected a win and we frustrated them. I would have liked to have seen us be a little more front-foot but I'm guessing we were trying but obviously had to be mindful defensively - and that's a balancing act. As you say, positives a plenty.

 

We're so much better than we were and I can see us getting points.... whether it'll be enough is another matter, but I am confident/hopeful.

gonna depend on how soon Siemsen is ready and how quickly she acclimatises. like all season our defensive underlying stats have been lower midtable quality (and now we've got one of the best keepers in the WSL we'll start to outperform them) but our attacking underlying stats have been by and far the worst in the division

We're 'only' 4 points behind Reading, with a game in hand and still have to play them at home. If we can capitalise on that and maintain these good performances, then we've got a great chance to stay up.

 

But 5 goals from 11 games really isn't good enough, so a lot will depend on us sorting out our attack. Crack that, and I think we'll survive.

It is all very difficult for us. When we slide out of this so called Super League, we may improve our somber mood by finishing midway in the Championship with a few good wins.

...it is weird to look at that picture, the uniforms worn by the ladies are so different from the men's but she looks dressed like a proper player!!!
