Get this donkey off our books Jesus Christ pay him off

I know the guy performs miracles but I think it's a bit much to ask him to pay up Vestegaards contract.

you reckon he’d dive down like a fast geezer to get them saves? Or leap like. A gazelle to collect a cross?

Forgot about him having to make saves, shit

So it’s been reported (by Foxes of Leicester via Denmark, so take it with as much salt as you’d like) that we have rejected a Brentford bid!

Must have missed it 😅 My bad! Still outraged that we could have missed the easy out with him I guess 😂

As a team we literally play to his weaknesses and don’t use his strengths. That’s what makes it so utterly baffling why we signed him in the first place.

I'd surmise the deal developed in a way that soon beguiled the City negotiators trying to sort out two immediate problems - the loss of Fofana and the lack of cover at left-back.

I suspect that they abandoned the hunt for the best two players when they discovered Southampton were willing to offer a 'twofor' of appropriate players in those positions.

That would have appeared tempting given the time available, the siting of two negotiations in one place and the willingness of Saints to offload them quickly.

The third factor should have set the alarm bells ringing. Two unwanted players from a team clearly less successful than City were hardly going to set the turf alight. But the real fault lies with everyone who's been ignoring the problems with Jonny Evans' injury problems. However good Fofana is he doesn't have Evans experience. And Söyüncü  appears to need Evans in close proximity.

Now Söyüncü  has lost confidence and Evans is no longer shatterproof AND Vestagaard (and before him, Bennett) failed to perform at the required level, we're worse off than last summer.

I still think he must be better than what we have seen, however still not the right player for the way we play.

strange thing, seems like a good footballer but bad defender

Right. Only thing for it. Build the team around Vesty. Play a deep back line. Hit teams on the break. Limited possession. Win the league. Easy.
