Popular Post Jattdogg Posted 20 January Popular Post Posted 20 January I honestly think we should boycott the world cup and tell states to enjoy it alone. Give trump the world cup, tell the world he scored 20 goals and defeated the enemies from Canada, Greenland and Panama whilst getting a knobel peice prize from the Venezuelan bang bros team. 1 5
Leicesterpool Posted 20 January Posted 20 January All the big nations should come together and refuse to play any matches in the usa.

Leicesterpool Posted 20 January Posted 20 January (edited) Russia was banned for invading Ukraine, trump may invade Greenland yet be allowed to host in a world cup?? Also an Olympics in two years. Edited 20 January by Leicesterpool
TiffToff88 Posted 20 January Posted 20 January If the whole thing still goes ahead, the best we could do is to boycott the games being held in the USA. Only attend/watch games in Canada and Mexico. Packing out the stadiums in Canada and Mexico but having half empty grounds in the USA would give Trumps ego a massive hit, and Make Fifa look silly at the same time. It wont happen though, seeing as all of England's games are in the USA, and too many people don't care enough about the political side of things enough to stop them watching a bunch of blokes knock a bag of air around a field.
Wymsey Posted 22 January Posted 22 January Don't think the guy likes 'Brits'.. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c4g44er748lo 1
KingsX Posted 27 January Posted 27 January Best. Idea. Ever. Some things are more important than football. Stage a substitute tournament with fewer teams if you must. This would hit Trump and Infantino like a 50 pound hammer straight to the nads. 2
Scotch Posted 27 January Posted 27 January Scotland wait almost 30 years to get to a world cup and when we finally do, it's ruined by Trump and his Gestapo. Cheers guys! At least give us the chance to ruin it for ourselves.
Mike Oxlong Posted 27 January Posted 27 January Waste of time as we already know who is going to lift the trophy 1
Alf Bentley Posted 31 January Posted 31 January Something I didn't know until this morning......... Do you know what was No. 1 in the charts on 30th July 1966, when England won the World Cup after extra time? Great song, too (even if the singer comes across like a cross between Harry Redknapp and Steve Cooper).... 2
Wymsey Posted 31 January Posted 31 January (edited) It may well be some parade for Trump's 80th.. Edited 31 January by Wymsey
Super_horns Posted 4 February Posted 4 February Extra bank holiday for the Scots ! https://news.stv.tv/scotland/bank-holiday-confirmed-in-scotland-for-monday-after-world-cup-opener

They've paid $50 per game up front for every round to the final if Scotland get there........roughly £300. Before Fifa relented, it was costing them £4k upfront. 2
VLC86 Posted 6 February Posted 6 February Got confirmation I’ve got my tickets for the England group games. It’s obviously a shambles but it’ll be a great trip. 4
Leicesterpool Posted 11 February Posted 11 February I can just see Trump sitting next to fifa president Usa v Spain quarter finals... spain scores to make it 1-0 in injury time... Trump is then seen talking to trump president... commentators "wait var says its offside... but all the spain players are onside how did var come to that conclusion"

MC Prussian Posted 11 February Posted 11 February Unlucky in the lottery. But there's still hope I can catch that one game live.
leicsmac Posted 17 February Posted 17 February Apparently there's a "major concern" within FIFA about apparent "lack of hype" for the upcoming WC and they "don't know why". Lots of seats still unsold. Hmm... it's a mystery, isn't it?

I imagine some might "last minute discount" purchase tickets, perhaps locals or MAGA loyal billionaires to help trump see out the greatest world cup ever. If I were any South/central American or brown fan, I would never (in the current climate) fly to the states. 1
MPH Posted 17 February Posted 17 February (edited) Scotland will be based in Charlotte- about 20 miles from me. Shame it’s not England as I might have made an effort to go. Edited 17 February by MPH
