Does the Richard Ashcroft lookalike in the bucket hat actually watch any of the game in SK1 ?

I know he seems to help get the songs going… but he’s facing the crowd the whole game

A lot of the time he's just checking the group are singing what everyone else is. Can be hard to tell if a different song's cracking off somewhere else when you're right in the thick of it.

Just keep at it, ignore the moaners. Personally I'd like this sort of support to happen naturally, but 50% seem to be there to have a gripe about everything possible, and the rest just seem embarrassed to join in.

For all those that say UFS are elitist (which is plainly BS), just make the kop the noisiest in the country then they'll be no need for them at all.

I have no links to UFS and I'm not in the singing section just for the record.

I agree, we shouldn't. However, if more people, especially in the kop and L1 had done their jobs and sang previously then there wouldn't be one. This idea that singing sections and Union FS are somehow to blame for bad atmosphere, as though we used to have a raucous atmosphere until they showed up, is absolutely hilarious.

If we had thousands of fans that had the mentality of going to the games wanting to sing and knowing that they have to like with Leeds or Newcastle, a group like Union FS wouldn't need to exist. Union FS exist because we don't have a mentality and atmosphere like those clubs, not btge other way around.

The thing is half the teams in the league have some kind of group dedicated to atmosphere now. It's slowly clicking that without some level of organisation your ground will totally die unless you're a fanbase like Leeds.

Absolutely, ain’t the pub next to old Trafford (bishops blaze)? the place to be on a match day as it sounded like that’s where they get all their pre match sing song in. You can almost guarantee that’s who will start the chants inside.. Looking forward to see how the section develops over the season. As I said yesterday all it would take is sk1/2 and G1 on the corner to join in unison and the atmosphere would be on point.

United have the biggest group like this in the country. Last time they revealed their membership numbers they had 3000 paid up members and they had to hold a raffle every week to dish the a available tickets out.

I sit in SK3 and I'm not much of a singer. But I thought the singing section did a good job on Sunday. Don't remember their being a quiet moment. Keep it up 👍

I sit in SK4 I didn’t hear jack from the singing section… how embarrassing that we have to have a singing section. Unbelievable.

Trying to be a Cheap Palace…

if the team step up the fans will…

Club’s sinking faster than the Titanic…🙄🙄🙈🙈

That's not what i'm saying. Look, i ain't that bothered but there were a few comments i heard around me to the tune of "will that lot shut the fvck up for a minute". Personally i wouldn't want to see trouble coming from it.

This is the best one yet. ‘Will that lot shut up for a minute so we can all have a moan’. Hilarious

I used to stand in the 'crazy corner' at Filbert Street and love to sing. A couple of points for UFS to consider:

1. Publish an up to date song book both online and put them in the seats around the singing section before the next game. The reason that some fans to nit join in with the singing is that they simply do not know the words.

2. Cut out the songs to do with violence (you'll get your f**king head kicked in...; tip toe through the Trent End; etc). These songs belong firmly in the past.

3. Songs for EVERY player (Evans, Fofana, Justin are notable players without a song) and sing them more often.

4. There should be a set minute in every match where we belt out 'Vichai had a dream' for a solid minute.

You can’t beat the old classic chants, so very much disagree with cutting out them songs. UFS I believe very much want to keep the old chants going.

On point three, Evans and Fofana do have songs and both were sung yesterday. Granted, the Fofana one ("All we need is Wesley Fofana" to Radio Gaga) only got its first proper outing yesterday though.

Whilst I don't agree with everyting you've said, I can at least appreciate that your feedback is constructive and well-meaning.

The Vichai song for a particular minute isn’t a bad idea at all.

Seen it on the continent where they do something similar and it gets those from outside of the traditional end involved as well.

I too think that's a decent idea

As I've said before I have so much respect for UFS and the ones trying to bring it down or mocking it, what are you gaining from it?

Must admit listening to the podcast they did with radio Leicester was great to hear too. Just a bunch of people that want to try and help the community and the atmosphere in the ground? Why on earth would anyone mock that?!
