Love to see Murray get a good run, last 16/quarters, its great for the tournament.  Maybe Radacanu win 1 match but her opponent has won lots of matches on grass, so if she is not 100% that is a challenge.

Brits have done really well over the last 3 weeks, so hopefully at least 1 other in the 3rd round, maybe 3-5 across the 2 draws in the 2nd round.

Jack Draper has had some great results and a former Boys singles finalist this year and 4 Challenger titles.

Lets just hope after a few covid years its a great tournament and some real great stories.

Emma looks super nervous.

Difficult to say re. Andy - depends on how well he's recovered from that ab injury.

Jack Draper to properly announce himself this year - he's our best male prospect at the moment to get a slam, particularly on grass (although I expect it to take him a bit longer than it took Emma!).

Is it an unpopular opinion to say I dont think Raducanu is that good and got super lucky with the US open win?

I'd be happy if she proves me wrong

She's still young and learning the game but she has some talent. The US Open win was rare to win as a qualifier.

She showed her potential during the us open - playing with zero pressure and just going out to have fun. Now it’s all serious and everyone in the draw has extra motivation to beat her. You don’t just fluke runs like that though - she’s hugely talented, she just now needs to figure out how to cope with the physical demands of playing back to back tournaments and to navigate her new life as a famous sportswoman.

Gutsy stuff from her today anyhow. I can’t begin to imagine the pressure she was feeling with that match.

I love watching Alcaraz. Some much needed extended grass court practice for him today!

Great player and entertaining to watch. Honestly think he'll end up on double figures in terms of grand slams.

Nice to see Emma dispatch a potential banana skin, looking at her draw it’s littered with beatable players, but players who’ve had past success on grass. Garcia for her next, never know what to expect from Garcia, sometimes crap, but then again she just won Bad Homburg.

Can never not associate Andrew Cotter with a Scotland 6 Nations match with so much pre match hope but ultimately ends with defeat.

That 3rd set tie break was awesome from him.

Must be Wimbledon.

Murray winning late into the night after a scare and the BBC upsetting loads of non tennis fans by moving programs around to accommodate the tennis.

They still can't possibly move BBC News at 6pm though. Ohhhhhh no. All the old duffers who religiously watch the news every night can't possibly find the channel that's literally dedicated to 24 hour BBC News.

No, let's move one of the two live matches to the red button, then the main match over to BBC2. Then after the news finishes, let's move the match back from BBC2 to BBC1.

Simple FFS.
