Think the reason Serena seemed a bit off after losing is because she knows its her last chance to win a singles match on Centre Court. Athleticism has gone and her 2nd serve was dismal. Pity she never beat Court's 24 Grand Slams but Serena's still the best player ever in my view.

I fear Emma maybe a one slam wonder, no consistency on any surface, injuries and no real form to speak off.

 

Time on her side obviously but I think maybe the us open was a perfect storm for her.

Garcia peaked in 2017, nowhere near the player she once was, but can still be decent when she wants to be, as seen over the past two weeks.

Norrie, seems to be getting it done now. Such great fitness and striking throughout. Against an opponent who hasn’t made many errors and been absolutely smashing it around

but give the lass a rest, she's only 19, she needs to get back working, try to get rid of the enormous pressure from the medias

and try to make her own way on the WTA circuit
