Popular Post lcfc_forever Posted 7 December 2022 Popular Post Posted 7 December 2022 Keen we keep him. Makes such a difference off the bench - no coincidence we protect our leads far better when he comes on. With five subs now allowed, players like him that help close out a game are even more important. 8
TommyK Posted 8 December 2022 Posted 8 December 2022 I see little value in keeping him. He never plays. Not that I don't like him, but he's on a decent wage, is getting older and I think we need to move the team on. 1
Guest Lako42 Posted 8 December 2022 Posted 8 December 2022 He needs to move on for his own sake, but certainly not to some shite like Besiktas. He's well ahead of Wilf for me and I think that's where we should be looking to cash in.
moore_94 Posted 9 December 2022 Author Posted 9 December 2022 Possibly keep him in January depending on the offer but wouldn't give him a new deal and would let him go in the summer He is good for recycling the ball but that is it Not someone I would be happy for us to potentially have to rely on for a long period of games 3
Sly Posted 27 December 2022 Posted 27 December 2022 £3.5m from Besiktas is on the table. Shame Choudhury was a season long loan with an option to buy as his recall may have allowed us to trim the squad and make a bit of money.

He's better than both currently sell the other two play Mendy, an reinvest the extra money you can get for Wilf and Bouba, 3.5 million doesn't achieve anything or improve the team Edited 27 December 2022 by Beachyboy

Take the money and run 31 in the summer and not worth giving a new contract All he does is recycle the ball, he doesn't tackle, intercept, or progress the play 4
Popular Post coolhandfox Posted 27 December 2022 Popular Post Posted 27 December 2022 Mendy is a good pro, and a nice footballer. I think Braybrooke can do everything he can. But we need to move on from a player who has been here since 2016/17 and has never become a regular under 4 different managers. Sell, bring in some cash, save some on the wage bill. 10
cruzFOX Posted 2 January 2023 Posted 2 January 2023 There needs to be so much reshuffling in our squad it’s not even funny!

I'll believe this when I see it, it's not Besiktas modus operandi to spend £3.5m on a player with 6 months left and in his 30's. We didn't get that for Ghezzal who was on loan there and was a beast in his loan spell. 1
AyewJoking Posted 2 January 2023 Posted 2 January 2023 Wait til we're relegated then beg him to stay to help us in the championship. To which, he replies..."fùck you im off to PSG"
