Not sure what has changed based on this signing? 
Danny Ward is a decent keeper and if he isn’t upto scratch Iversen will come in.

Exactly. He's been good for Wales and hasn't let us down in the games he's played for Leicester before. He deserves a shot. However, if both Ward and Iversen both look short of the required quality, I'm sure deals will be struck in January or next summer.

I'm sure when Smithies first broke through at Huddersfield he was widely regarded as a future England keeper. 

 

Anyway, it's not really a signing we all wanted but he's definitely decent back up and now we can stop seeing the reports of is being the only side in Europe's top 7 divisions to not sign a player, I swear sky just kept adding leagues into the headline to emphasize the point

Do you actually follow football? He has spent 15 years in league football mainly in the Championship.

He isnt good enough to be a starting premier league keeper. This signing just confirms that he's going to be used as such for the season. He's an alright back up for cup games and stuff but thats about it.

Why does this signing confirm anything? This signing is just a replacement for Jakupovic.

If we were to sign a first choice keeper one of Ward or Iversen would be out the door, neither of those 2 are going to be third choice keepers.

I know people have made a bit of a joke of this, however he’ll add experience and he was a highly promising goalkeeper when he was younger. He’s still fairy young by goalkeeping standards and he isn’t the worst option in the world. 
 

 

This should now allow Iversen to leave, albeit that on loan or permanently.
