Heathrow fox Posted 21 May 2023 Posted 21 May 2023 So for Leicester to stay up means Everton have to go down. This is simply not going to happen. 1

He looks laboured at the minute, but he's capable of pulling out a worldie like he did at Everton or Wolves, and one of a few number of players that can make telling passes in the final third.  I agree with the criticism of Soumari and Ndidi, but I think Youri deserves a little more respect from us. I think he genuinely tries, despite some poor performances this season 3
Guest Lcfc82 Posted 21 May 2023 Posted 21 May 2023 Whoever goes down this season is definitely going to deserve it. How we can be as shit as we have been and have took it to the final day:

To be still in it is frankly staggering and makes you wonder if we can fluke this.Â

I agree with the criticism of Soumari and Ndidi, but I think Youri deserves a little more respect from us. I think he genuinely tries, despite some poor performances this season He gets enough respect by taking a huge wage, being largely undroppable and being allowed to run his contract down whilst being completely unfit for the task at hand. At the Liverpool game, he was barely going for anything and was exceptionally sloppy with the ball. The worldies (whilst lovely) paper over cracks. He is simply not up to the task anymore. The team performances dont go up a notch when he's about. There is no time for sentimentality, and i don't think he should be starting Newcastle. 2
cityfanlee23 Posted 21 May 2023 Posted 21 May 2023 As much as we have bottled this season we somehow still have it in our hands to stay up. 2 wins and we are safe. I have about 1.232% confidence we will do it, but stranger things have happened.Â

If we're going up to Newcastle to win the game, I'd be backing Youri to come good one last time and get us over the line, rather than hoping Soumare or KDH develop a footballing brain overnight. 3
CrazyKopCorner Posted 21 May 2023 Posted 21 May 2023 It's back in our hands.  Unfortunately we have the hands of Ward ! 3

Everton, Leeds and Leicester all have 1 home win in the last 10. Nobody ‘should’ win anything. In all likelihood someone is going to get a win in there but nobody should be winning anything based on form.  Best thing is for us to get 2 wins. But our form says we aren’t doing that either. Everton might feel the pressure whereas Bournemouth are free to enjoy themselves, get a couple more points and maybe finish higher in the table. Or, it could be as you say.

Mickyblueeyes Posted 21 May 2023 Posted 21 May 2023 The crap these 3 teams have served up this season there is more chance of all 3 losing on the last day then it being 3 wins or even 2.  One is going to pull off an unlikely special win. Let’s hope that is us.  Bournemouth are a better team than Everton. They have a better work ethic, application and professionalism.  West Ham are a better team than us. We have genuine morons playing for us.  Spurs are a basket case but so are Leeds. Their mistakes sometimes surpass ours which takes some effort.  All three will piss off their fan base at some point is the only certainty. 2
OntarioFox Posted 21 May 2023 Posted 21 May 2023 (edited) If I hear one person calling it the 'Great Escape 2' if we somehow limp over the line to survive, I will squash an overpriced balti pie in their face. Â It's a Lame Escape. That's what we're calling it. The Lame Escape. Edited 21 May 2023 by OntarioFox 1

Mad that it’s still in our handsÂ
Mike Oxlong Posted 21 May 2023 Posted 21 May 2023 Since the world cup we’ve won three, drawn 4 and lost 14 losing to some utter dross including Southampton and even ChelseaÂ
wokinghamfox Posted 21 May 2023 Posted 21 May 2023 Win our last two and we stay up simple. A win and a draw and its a lottery. A win and a defeat we are in the lap of the gods. Anything less than this and we are doomed. Â
