Rodgers (Allegedly) Publicly Calls the Players Not Good Enough and Throws Them Under the Bus

To have to watch virtually every club in the top five leagues get players in and for us to not be able to improve that was difficult as a manager and players. Players want to compete, this group has shown they can compete but we needed help and unfortunately we haven't been able to get that.

At the very start of the season, with players back from injuries to name a few:

Strikers: Vardy, Iheanacho  Barnes and Daka.

Outside the top 6, how many teams have that wealth of choice if played correctly?

Defence: Ricardo, Castagne, Fofana, Evans, Soyuncu, JJ and Thomas?

Again  outside the top 6?

Midfield: Maddison, Tielemans, Ndidi, KDH,  Albrighton and Soumare?

Yes, we can point out obvious areas like RW that need strengthening but, even if that's not top 6 material, surely a half decent manager, if he picks the right players in their best positions with tactics suited best for those players, he shouldn't be in any danger of relegation should he? Middle to bottom half teams would love to have such a wealth of choice of proven, mostly international players.

Even if Rodgers had been given another 100m to spend on players of his own choice, I really don't think it would make too much difference with him at the helm now and he'd probably just leave us a huge amount of debt as his legacy.

He’s turned on the club. He’ll be gone by the weekend.

This is the most frustrating part what else does he need to do to get sacked ....are the board holding out for him to leave by mutual consent to reduce the financial impact?

Guys I’m not happy with the current state of affairs one bit. Rogers has clearly made mistakes and has not helped himself.

his substitutions, tactics leaves a lot to be desired…BUT… he is right about the lack of players coming in. He’s done really well with what we had last few seasons. He was patient last season even though we bought some duds. I blame that on the recruiting dept. He really needed good players coming in this window to take us to the next level. He’s maybe sensing that he can no longer motivate the bunch we have to fight a relegation battle or it’s not what he signed up for. I’m just saying I do have some sympathy for him. Others at the club have to take some heat it can’t all be on him. People have messed up. In our team our experience players are not stepping up to get us out of this. It’s a mess but one we have to sort out fast. If we axe Rogers is there a quick fix out there? I don’t think so.

I like what Matty Elliot said in that this team can turn the corner but it has to find that motivation that spark and find it fast. Who’s gonna step up and take this challenge on?

This is the inescapable fact that's following Rodgers around waving its arms while he goes 'look over there!' and throws little smoke bombs trying to hide it

And keeping on doing what we are doing and expecting a different result is the answer ?

Can we get him on breach of contract?? Surely picking teams and makes subs or lack of to try and force the sack is gross misconduct.

Perhaps he has violated the willy puller clause in his contract

Literally, his job.

We needed new players to take us to the next level, yes

But to finish comfortably in the top 10 while we rebalance the books? No, he has that squad already.

His terrible man management in the form of his demotivating media comments is glaring - since the Forest game he's trashed the players.

His talk of over achieving, of players not being as good as they think they are, his public criticism of individuals - it's shocking.

A better manager would have been able to galvanise the squad with a seige mentality. He's painted himself into a corner and now he's out of ideas, moaning about squad improvement and lack of quality as if that's why we've picked up 1 point from 15.

That recruiting department (Head Of Senior Player Recruitment) is the one he brought with him.

No excuses on that front.
