:dunno: They did.

The board must rely heavily on the recommendations of the recruitment team and their manager, surely?

They should have used Indeed

Rodgers has spoke alright on BBC Radio Leicester. We did need investment. What can he say? The players are clearly working hard but we're crying out for more quality in wide areas and composure in the final third. Not investing this summer could be a costly mistake.

I want Rodgers gone as much as anyone but don't really see what's so bad about that comment? Just stating the obvious :dunno:

Respectfully we are a weaker side than last season and the rest of the prem has got stronger, football is a matter of opinions and you may believe a new manager will come in and we’ll be challenging top 6 again but I think we needed signings, and without them we’re in trouble

The transfer window was an absolute shambles. So yeah, not putting an oily rag on my pitchfork for this one.

It’s a toxic situation but I’m sorry, it’s down to the board. If they’ve not given him the tools to do his job he’s gonna say it. If the club don’t believe in him and think he’s wrong they need to sack him.

In all fairness and I’m not Rodgers in but if your not gonna sack him then Atleast get him some players in even if for sake of a new manager because we are heading to the championship quickly at this rate

:appl::appl::appl:

I have always been rather AMBIVALENT on the Brendan Rodgers question.

Never really thought of myself as particularly pro-BR, and thought his tactics shyte from time to time.

But he has made a FACTUALLY-ACCURATE statement here...

The sophistry of whether what's PUBLICLY clear should be affirmed by him is, with all respect, partisan pablum.

This is not a bottom of the league squad though is it lol

The quality available to him is plenty enough to be grinding out wins and playing more aggressively.

He's worming. He wants out, it's clear as day. I don't know what we're playing at at this point.

We can't even put out a team of 11 players with everybody in their correct positions.

I want him to go as much as the next guy, but we can't honestly say he's had all the help he needs.

We have no capable left back, 1 capable centre back and no capable right winger.

With a clearly declining Vardy, a clearly declining Evans, a Championship keeper, a disinterested Tielemans and (for all his good qualities) a wet- behind-the-ears KDH it's an alarmingly poor squad of players when every other team has improved and addressed their weaknesses.

This relationship is done it’s Unrepairable the players he’s signed are not good enough he’s never to blame for anything surely he can’t survive any longer and it’s time for him to go

He's deluded. In his radio Leicester interview he said:

he thought the players gave their all - clearly not as a lot of them couldn't be arsed to run most of the game

He said he thought Thomas was excellent - has he actually lost the plot? He was at fault for their goal and he was like a deer caught in headlights all game. I've said it before, the boy needs a loan move as he's completely regressed.

He threw Timmy under the bus basically saying he cannot defend and is at fault for the goals we've conceded so far. He said Cags has been truly shite in training, Vestergaard is.... Well I'm not entirely sure what he said about him.

The bloke has lost it and needs to go. He just needs to go.

Please christ tell me, of all the grotesque (lack of) tactical decisions tonight, that Timmy being being dropped wasn't optional? Surely he had a twinge of some sort?

Poor Luke Thomas is the very last man of the 25 I ever pick. The..Last. Name. On. The. Squad..List. Always

If he's dropped timmybgor Thomas, that alone is gross misconduct

What are the actual quotes about Timmy? I haven't seen those yet.

He said something along the lines of (when asked about why Thomas started)

'we have shipped 10 goals already this season and so I had to bring someone in who can defend so I bought on Thomas who was excellent'

He was backed in the market last year, he had no players sold from under him last year, and we ended up worse because of it.

EXACTLY

Yes the board is culpable to some degree. Letting Lookman go is criminal. But Rodgers has been backed in the transfer market. He is getting paid handsomely.  And this is the dreck he puts out.

The board isnt the main factor here. We have been underperforming for a while.

It's more likely that the board ask the manager what areas need strengthening, the recruitment team compile lists of players to suit. Then maybe a player, let's pick Perez, is suggested as a player that can be signed and could Rodgers see him fitting into the team and style of play. Rodgers say yes and then the board spunk 30m on him.

I'd see that scenario as more likely than Rodgers saying get me this player and make sure you spend at least 30m on him.

Timmy was evidently fit as he warmed up multiple times on the sidelines

Put him on gardening leave

Not a good idea. When the garden looks like a mess he will blame it on the weeds

Fans saying the squad isn't good enough: 😆👌👍

Rodgers saying the squad isn't good enough: 😳😡🤬

Fans not having multiple millions of opportunities to upgrade the squad

Rodgers having multiple windows and spending multiple millions on shite

Just adding context.

Signed four players, three of whom they've tried to ditch and the other gets five minutes at the end of games.

I see nothing to suggest he is out..sadly.

I am getting the impression it needs more that him going to sort this mess out however.

He’s just crucified Soyuncu on Radio Leicester.

Says they needed two center halves and he’s not been backed but then alienates a player in his team who has shown himself capable of doing a job at this level :dunno:

Apparently Soyuncu is one of those players who've gotten "better" and risen in the estimation of FTers by sitting on the bench.
