Signed four players, there of whom they've tried to ditch and the other gets five minutes at the end of games.

And his mate was the Head of Senior Recruitment.

He said something along the lines of (when asked about why Thomas started)

'we have shipped 10 goals already this season and so I had to bring someone in who can defend so I bought on Thomas who was excellent'

No f**cking way

Let's face it, the incoming transfers overseen by Rodgers have been appalling. And, yes the squad is not good enough, so whose fault is that? Rodgers!!

Looks to me that they’re being coached to keep the ball, we’d be better off with U11s  tactics by chucking 3 strikers on and lumping the ball up to them. Worst I’ve seen is play for a long time.

Apparently Soyuncu is one of those players who've gotten "better" and risen in the estimation of FTers by sitting on the bench.

Naaa it’s just a lot of people just on the same vibe as  Rodgers comments tonight of ‘we’ve conceded ten, so I wanted to change the defence’

We can't even put out a team of 11 players with everybody in their correct positions.

I want him to go as much as the next guy, but we can't honestly say he's had all the help he needs.

We have no capable left back, 1 capable centre back and no capable right winger.

With a clearly declining Vardy, a clearly declining Evans, a Championship keeper, a disinterested Tielemans and (for all his good qualities) a wet- behind-the-ears KDH it's an alarmingly poor squad of players when every other team has improved and addressed their weaknesses.

We can though. Rodgers chooses not to because he's too busy making as many enemies as possible.

New manager and they suddenly look like a top half team again, it's really that simple. The bloke has been sucking the life out of the players and once again, I can't wait to be proved right when Top finally does the right thing. :D

It's a Mexican stand-off between Rodgers and the club over which of them pulls the trigger first and forfeits the money. It could go on for some time.

This is true. Surely the cost of relegation, which is looking ominous under BR, would be horrific, compared to the price of sacking him ?

Everything seems stale & toxic around the club. A new manager appears to be our only option.

Rodgers had money last summer and wasted it

He had £50m not exactly the biggest budget in the world, let’s not kid ourselves.

we have a go because in hindsight those signings haven’t worked out, but they weren’t seen as bad signings at the time

Yet the same players finished 8th last year. I don’t think it’s an ‘alarmingly poor squad’ but a squad that’s playing with no belief.

So why didn’t he buy them last season instead of spunking it all on Southampton players?

Why didn’t he do it the season before? Or the one before that?

How many of his signings over the 3 years have been any good? Hardly any. We have bought so much rubbish under him, rubbish he has approved and suggested.

They have backed him, he’s failed, now they’re trying not to bankrupt the club.

He should’ve gone after the Forest shambles at the absolute latest. It’s negligent that he’s been allowed to continue for this long when it was obvious to so many who know anything about the game that it was only going one way.

Lost the plot a long time ago. His fragile ego and insecurity sucks the life out of this team the longer he is here. Problems that began at the beginning of his reign have only gotten worse, and the only decent player he oversaw the transfer of literally ran away kicking and screaming.

The amount of shade cast on the club by his comments over the past year or so is also ridiculous. Disappointed in the media for not calling him out on his BS as well but what do you expect.

Well it was a wasted 50m, the fact 0 of the 5 come off is pretty bad… it doesn’t matter what we thought at the time, he is paid millions to get these things right. Plus the squad is much better than how they are performing at this moment. Let’s not forget the wages being paid to those players too

What's he referring to though? Hasn't got enough help to push for top 6? Definitely. Hasn't had enough to finish in the top half? Probably. I don't think he could use that as an excuse to be flirting with relegation though.

Too bored to do it, but feel free to dredge up FT comments the last few times he played.

If a poll was taken at the end of last season or over the off-season, pretty certain that majority of fans wanted him offloaded post-haste!

While he's not been backed enough this summer, the question of why so many of our players form has dropped off a cliff over the past 12 months needs to be asked of him. Cags was in the EPL team of the year 2 seasons ago but now can't start ahead of out 4th choice CB Amartey, who's not a natural CB anyway! Why have so many players regressed under you Mr Rodgers?

Completely agree he needs to go. Needed 6 new players that buy into his methods, or 1 new manager.

I'm at the point where I don't really care who comes in, because just doing nothing is gross negligence.

Yeah he was in poor form but what harm do we have changing it at the moment?

With all due respect (as he likes to say) he's had 3 years to bring in players that buy into his methods. Bringing more players into the club that he decides he doesn't rate wouldn't have made a difference.

As someone said, sacking him even for £25 million would be worth signing 2 or 3 players.
