Think the problem I have is he’s essentially dishing it back to all the fans when only a small minority actually booed him.

 

Harsh on a lot there today to react like he did instead of making the most of a good moment in time - a late winner. 
 

On a human level I understand it to an extent, but at the same time I think it was somewhat petulant and immature.

Looking back at a replay of the Faes goal, it didn’t sound like the booing towards him started until after he was cupping his hands to his ears and mouthing off at the fans.. please correct me if I’m wrong!

Me and my mates got told off for "booing" by a woman in front of us when he came on. We were definitely saying "Woouuuutt" 

 

Fair play to him today, looked levels above the game when he came on.

In fairness hes probably been one of our most hated players for a while, I think hes a complete cock but I don’t think there’s much wrong with giving it back tbh

Can we confirm he was genuinely booed when he came on or was it a "Wooooout" situation? 

 

He definitely took it as booing it seems. I wouldn't be that surprised either way. Seems early to single him out but maybe if it was Vesty coming on from the bench instead, then he would have been booed too. 

 

Part of me would love to kick him out of the club, buttttt he does look a very good CB at this level and I want the best 11 despite my personal gripes

It was a mix. 

 

I hate the guy, and whilst I didn't boo him myself, I knew exactly what was coming so paid attention to it. 

 

There were definitely others who did boo. There were also definitely others shouting "Woooooooot". I'd say it was more booing than the latter.

That's exactly what I thought....he was cheered then he started with the attitude and cupping his ears he got booed

Yeah, the issue started (today) when he came on and was roundly booed by many.

I will always celebrate a goal,  I don't have to be a fan of the player through.  If I only cheered for players I like or indeed rated when they scored I would be 99% silent 🤫

Also people keep saying he was giving it to SK1 he 'celebrated' to the right of the goal definitely not SK1

@lanefox Wout initially went to the right and then moved to the other side of the goal in front of SK1...

Yeah I was gonna say the same. Really shows the disconnect between the club and the fans at present. Everyone just seems like they've had enough which going forward isn't going to help
