I'm not really sure exactly where I stand on all of this.

On the one hand he has been dreadful for us and has earned way above his talent and worth (that's on the club tbf)

Maybe he should have some self awareness and understand why the fans are upset.

On the other hand booing players onto the pitch is embarrassing and counterproductive and his reaction shows a human element even if it is a bit arrogant. We're unlikely to be able to get rid of him so we need some sort of cohesion.

Maybe just maybe playing with that extra fire in his belly could bring the best out of him

From where I sat people were (incorrectly) shouting his name, not booing. Similar to Huth, Fuchs, Hume etc.

I swear pockets of the fanbase have always done this? I’m genuinely baffled it’s turned into this big thing.

Him shouting “**** off” at his own fans isn’t a good luck though.

He’s the worst CB in our history and many of the goals we’ve conceded since he’s been here are either down to an outright mistake of his or just him not being a good enough defender. Deserves every bit of slander he gets.

Delusion and hyperbole.

I do think the criticism is over the top sometimes but his reaction is also sort of the reason why he rubs people up the wrong way.

I know I'm in a minority but I don't think his problems are lack of care, he's just mentally lazy and switches off.

Don't blame him for having a go back but I think it would look better for him if he was the bigger man.

He’s not even close to being the worse CB in our history

The booing was silly, yes we want to see a bit of change in the playing staff, I get that. But we also want a bit of a reset in terms of the negativity, let still push this toward Rudkni and sort stuff out.

So perhaps we can use this thread and all agree to drop the flippin ridiculous 'chant' of saying woooot when it isn't even his name.  That's embarrassing.  At least then we'll also know if people are actually booing him and then the debate can continue...

You weren't around in the pleat years then?

Even if there were a handful of people saying his name, the majority of the noise were boos.

Really caught me by surprise - such a stupid thing to do.

I’ve never warned to him as a Leicester player, but how does booing help?

We’ve had worse players - including in all of his seasons here - who haven’t received the same treatment. Frankly that isn’t a reason to boo anyway. We’ve also had other players who wanted out who haven’t received the same treatment.

The booing contributes to a toxic environment that is only likely to alienate the squad from the fans at a time when we could really do with singing from the same hymn sheet.

I’d have reacted exactly the same way, and probably worse, and been straight off down the tunnel too. Ironically this whole incident has made him a much more relatable Leicester player lol

Trouble is, we have a group of players who are not good enough for the premiership, but too good(some better than others) for the championship.  He's one of them. He probably thinks yesterday's winner puts him up there with Steve Walsh. The manager needs a good honest chat with him and the other players.

2 miserable relegations with this guy being one of the main cbs is not delusion.

Maybe not in terms of footballing ability but when was the last time you looked at Faes in the starting line up and thought, no need to worry today? Even in the Championship he was shaky, remember that run under Enzo?

Nope but even during the 06-10 years I dont remember there being a CB so bad for so long staying near the side.

I accused you of hyperbole not delusion @Dames

Again, 2 relegations, many poor performances, lots of mistakes and errors is not hyperbole. As i said its not based on footballing ability (but he is still a very bad footballer) its based on whats happened since he’s been one of our main CBs.

Many other players that were worse than him in terms of ability didnt get 3 seasons worth of opportunities to show it.

For me, it is not about ability. I want to see a team that want to play for our shirt - it's been too long since that last happened. It is his general aura and attitude that stinks - he thinks he is much bigger than the club.

It's just be better for all parties if we could get a sale through before the end of the window. He's more than capable at this level but let's just get rid and move on.

This will probably get laughed at, such is the state of modern football/our club but…

If I was him and I gave a shit, I’d be asking the club to set up a clear the air meeting with him and the fan groups. No phones allowed, no recording, just an open conversation between him and them with the aim of getting them to encourage the rest of our fan base to back the players.

He needs to hear how ****ed off people get when he’s cupping his ears to us every week, they need to hear how ****ed off he gets by getting booed every week and see where it goes.

That said, North Korea FC doesn’t knowledge any kind of criticism and does he actually give a shit enough to try to repair the relationship so it clearly won’t happen. But if it did, he’d start to get some respect I recon.

Faes behaved like a true Prima Donna yesterday!

The guy has literally been booed for the last year, any player does the same when they score that. We’ve seen players do it for much less in all fairness.
