Feet on the ground folks.  Seriously. Perspective. We just beat the worst team in the league, but still looked vulnerable at times. I hope this is the start of the season for us, but I doubt it. Hopefully I’m wrong. 
 

We smashed Forest though - so that at least is something.

Great result, good performance. Attacking play was great, but I felt we gave them way too many chances to score. A lot of that was once we were already up 3 goals, but that's something that is going to cost us time and time again. That I suppose is the high press in a nutshell; makes a lot of chances for us, but gives a lot of chances away too.

 

Maddison was absolutely fantastic. Castagne was very good, Faes looked very solid.

 

Ward made a lot of saves but to be honest I still thought he looked shakey. Justin wasn't too good, but KDH in patches was great.

 

If we play like that we stay up, but Forest were awful tonight and we probably won't have an easier game all season. But 4-0 against Forest you will take all day, every day.

Pleased with the win and 3 points, and to be off the bottom. That's it. 

 

Fortunately, we were playing a very piss poor Forest team. They were awful.

 

Aside from Maddison, we were quite average to be honest. We would have struggled against a decent side. 

 

Faes is a trier, and as such an asset, but prone to some mistakes. Soumare was not that good but an improvement on Ndidi. Barnes' goal was excellent but still lacking confidence. Class by Daka. 

 

Lots to do. I hope this does not paper over the obvious cracks. Still, Rodgers out.

Mate this is exactly the reason why we had been in a downward spiral the last 24 months. I need not refer to the countless examples we have seen where we tried to be conservative and ended up choking.

Great game, a few individual silly mistakes aside that was the Leicester of old. Ward deserved his clean sheet with a couple of decent stops. The only player I thought wasn’t really in it was Vards. Daka to start on Saturday surely. The only criticism I’d level at Rodgers, was bringing Madders off when on a hatrick.
