Buzzing for the post match interview

"I thought we showed a great intensity first half"

"The players had tremendous quality in that first 60 minutes"

"After the difficult summer we have I've always acknowledged things would be tough"

"Obviously you'd want to freshen the squad but we haven't been afforded that"

"It's looking like (player x) will be out for a few weeks"

Really can't wait. Get him out.

He's been asked to play the majority of the season and not 100% fit.

It's bound to have an effect.

The injections can't be good long term for him.

He don't ask to be picked the manager does that.

Agreed mate, if you utilise him properly he’s a good asset but he’s getting ran ragged atm and has been for a while. Don’t think his Irish exploits have helped in recently years also.

Give it 5 years and this lads body will be ****ed.

20,000 + season ticket holders about to make seat available for resale when line up announced to include Ward & Amartey. Palace’s XG to be 2 or 3 before a ball is even kicked.

It's like walking into the exam room when you know you've not studied and been out on the piss the night before.

You're there. You turn up under some misguided belief that there might be some kind of miracle... but you just know what's going to happen. I'm not sure I've felt this low and lacking in belief before a game. It's not that I always expect to win, I hope to obviously but not expect to. You anticipate defeat for some matches obviously, but you go into them with some kind of belief that you'll turn up and put in an effort. This is different. I have a sense of inevitability, I expect.... nothing short of cluster ****.

We're having the rug pulled before we even take the field. Rodgers will attempt to play Rodgersball despite not having the players for it. There is not a chance in hell that he'd revert to a defensive set up, e.g. 5 at the back (Castagne, Faes, Veste, Cags, Justin) with Mendy and Soumare in DM roles. I truly believe Rodgers is either so ****ing stubborn in his belief that he is right that he will not change, and blame the inevitable thumping on player mistakes and 'lack of quality', OR he actually does want to go out in a blaze, burning everything around him to the ground. He will never accept that his plans, his idea of football, will not work, will never work.

We're going to get dicked. No way can I escape that belief.

Really don't think reverting to a defensive line up is the way to go. We don't have the quality players to defend, what we need is an offensive line up that moves the ball fast, and more direct play not mucking around sideways and back. We have quality in abundance in midfield/attacking midfield. Use it and many teams won't be able to touch us. Also need a bit of confidence to play that way, that might be lacking. But going negative/defensive is not where we're at. We do that whenever we get in front, and we know what happens after...

Not really my point. My point was more than Rodgers will seemingly not entertain the thought of changing shape. It's not negative, I feel it's just reckless to leave the back door open and expecting not to get burgled.

I just don't think we're leaving the back door open, we can't defend full stop, not because of shape, because of errors and a shit keeper. Stick all 10 back there, we'd still make the same mistake. When we play on the front foot, that's when we're at our best. We just stop doing it when we need to continue.

ok whatever

Edit: let's just stick everyone up front and have a rush goalie. Defence be damned, we can't do it anyway.
