I have to say I find it bizarre the obsession some fans have about having empty seats.

..I would hazard a guess that most are equating the expenditure off the pitch to expenditure on the pitch!!!

I think a preference for that money to be channelled to the pitch is the big bug bear.

But the problem is that expenditures on the pitch are limited by FFP, while expenditures on the stadium are not. However, the increased revenue from the stadium expansion (tickets, concessions, corporate income) actually helps us increase what is allowed under FFP, aside from the other obvious benefits of a larger stadium.

The constructors will not do it on the never-never. They want a large amount up front unlike buying players. Do we have the money? Somebody should pin Top down with that question.

Nah it was towards the end of last season

It was the New Year’s Day 2022 fixture rearranged to midweek in May. These things are easily checked if you want to bother 🤷‍♂️

I don't know the specific justification for more seats but if it means a bigger concourse/toilets then that  works for me as the current set up is totally inadequate. Better egress from the seats would also help. You can just imagine the chaos there would be if they had to evacuate the stadium in a hurry. On that point why don't they let those in the lower level seats go out via the pitch side?

Amount of times i’ve been hit by someone elses splash back in the troughs would justify this whole expansion if they made the toilets bigger.

Its clear we need an expansion, we have a waiting list for ST, and non regulars have a hard time getting tickets, its  the question of how much capacity not a do we need it.

However I dont think work will start any time soon if at all.

Realistically, growing up me and my 2 mates supported Leicester(2008-2014). Then every mate and his date sudden you were ‘Leicester till I die’. If we get relegated at least we’d get rid of these ‘loyal supporters’.

It's a well known fact that increasing the size of the toilets simply leads to the size of every fans cock increasing to fill the added space.

Fabulous news as far as I am concerned

there is no way we will ever grow as a club unless we expand and keep looking to the future

if we can stay up this season it could help us look forward with positivity once more
