In for now.

We need him to continue with the momentum and help the team get out of a relegation battle sooner than later. A new manager can be decided on later.

No a single chance in the second half against a woeful leeds.  That is rodgersball

Defeating Forest and Leeds at home, people r like rodgers was the best LOL (They ignored Being held to a draw at home by a defensive CP side and defeated by Bournemouth away)

And every other coach would have dropped Ward after his awful performances this season.  He may have played better recently but it is more due to the lack of shots on target of the opponents. If you doesnt face shots on target you never concedes goals!

Look at CP, they didnt bother to attack away from home; look at leeds, the stupid Marsch rotated his lineup against a fellow relegation zone team.

Away from home it will be another story.

naive fans never look at the opponents and the fact that 3 of the previous four r played at home

If we have 10 or more points by the Middle of Nov, he ain't going anywhere.

Top stuck with NP after The Boss sacked him and got him reinstated, I expect he'll do the same for Rodgers.

Ps: Who would replace him anyway :dunno:

You see, I was trying to research this yesterday but struggled to find anything.

I thought it was the other way round.

I thought Vichai had given more day to day running of the club and more power and reigns over to Top, Top sacked NP but Vichai overruled, reinstated him and took more control of the club again.

That's what I thought too and was the reason why I was initially surprised at Top reluctance to sack Rodgers.

The only bit of devils advocate that could be played is that Top thinks back to that point, but come on, someone mentioned breaking points the other day, we’re well past breaking points, we’ve been playing awful, stinking the place out for 2 years, the difference is results have carried him through up until now, even if results do take an turn for the good the awful, nonsense football will remain, stinking the place out, for sure.

I remembered the Story as it was claimed NP told a Leicester Supporter to "**** Off And Die"

The Mirror Headline 9th Feb 2015

Leicester's Nigel Pearson WAS sacked as Foxes boss but then reprieved by chairman's son

It's understood supremo Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha told manager he was a goner only to be talked out of it by relative more closely involved with the club

Fair enough, i've googled the articles now and it does seem you're correct.

Although you do seem to have your wires crossed with the FOAD incident, that was a different time (v Liverpool 4th Dec 2014), the sacking/reinstated incident came when he wrestled with McArthur.

Hero.

...we keep on seeing this post, and genuine names are put forward, but people keep asking the same questions again!!!

Do you actually believe there is no one out there who could do a better job or are you afraid to try. If it is a mindset of Dyche, Bielsa, Gerrard, Lampard, Benitez or Allardyce,  then you will have to begin to open up to other options.

urgh

I still think he's incredibly lucky to be in the job but I feel like we've reached the point where sacking him is no longer guaranteed to improve our position.

Hopefully Villa come in for him.

....that would be a pointless option to take!!!

His failings are the reason why we are where we are, why would you wish to allow him longer in the role while the problem persists?

That came from reports that Tuchel & Poch had turned down Villa who have Money, however I take your point

Because the grass isn't always greener on the other side (i.e. a new manager coming in right now won't guarantee an instant improvement results wise). You don't sack the manager when he's beginning to pick up form and is starting to get results (regardless of how bad of a start he's had to the season which I agree has been a poor start).

from Forest the game plan has changed though, higher work rate from the players, more direct forward play, not so much ephasis of playing out from the back, and his decision to keep playing Ward is now looking a master stroke, he's also now effectively using the bench, so people are gonna change their minds.

I've always been not really bothered as long as players are playing for him, i thought after Spurs he'd be gone but he's survived and succesfully changed it up.

He's insanely lucky. Just as a kind run of fixtures against Norwich, Southampton and Watford saved him last season. Playing against 3 pathetic Forest, Leeds and palace performances somehow cancels out 8 bad games.

Teflon weasel.

Played Forest while Coopers still figuring what to do with about 20 new players. Played Leeds that have picked up 2 pts in 8 games. Played a Wolves team with no manager that has scored about 5 goals. Yet somehow came out bottom of the xG against Leeds and Wolves as well. I didn't actually realise how poor Wolves were doing until The Bear posted how bad it was.

The bloke has buckets of luck and it makes me sick lol

XG v Forest hardly pointed towards a thrashing too

They had good chances

Out but I accept that it may not need to be imminent now looking at the table. Last few results have bought us a little time and we aren't cut adrift. He's not the right man long term still.
