Out.

Until we start beating better sides, many criticisms remain because we still haven't had 3 points off anyone outside the bottom 6 this calendar yearand our away record reminds me of 94/95. We need to back this result up against Wolves.

I still want him out because one game in isolation, against a very poor Leeds side, does not make up for the Southampton, Brentford and Palace results.

However, I am coming round to the idea of him being given the world cup run IF he picks up a win at Wolves.

Out!

Leeds with Bamford upfront are extremely poor. Literally offered no threat first half.

agree..,. if Leeds had a decent striker we would have been 2 down in the first 15mins and that would have been that!

I still think that long-term he's not the right man for us, and he's taken us as far as he can.

But, seems the board will persevere with him unless things get really dire. The table is looking a little bit less scary now, and he really needs to follow up this win against Leeds with a good win at Wolves on Saturday. Man City is basically a write off, but wouldn't be surprised to see us randomly do well.

We need points on the board from winnable games like Wolves, Everton etc - because our run-in before the WC isn't looking too favourable at present. I think that his fate for this season will probably be sealed one way or another by the time we get to the winter break.

Doesn’t it? There was me thinking a win gained you three points. Do they get removed if you don’t win your next game as well? When did that rule come in?

Classic whiney line that gets thrown around with no thought process being applied.

Apologies for digging you out but I’ve seen this one a few times tonight and it’s wound me up.

We’ve got Man City next week and then Everton and West Ham away.

Not getting a result at Bournemouth and not beating Palace could really hurt us.

We could very easily be sitting on less than 10pts after 15 games.

We need to get SOMETHING at Wolves.

No we wouldn't have been.

Well if we had a better defender they wouldn't have scored anyway. Works both ways.

You can only beat what's in front of you.

Anyone changing there opinion on one result is a complete moron

Top isn’t sacking him though so it’s pointless

Nah changing your opinion is how you grow buddy, you can always change it back.

I'm like water me 😁

I suspect Rodgers will be around a LOT longer than people on FT can tolerate. I reckon we'll scrap our way out of the relegation zone with a couple of unconvincing wins against poor sides and then he will be backed with a bit of cash in January for a new keeper, possibly another CB. We will limp on and finish 15th. Then I reckon Top will sack him. Maddison, Youri and the dead wood will leave and a sexy European manager will be brought in to rebuild the team.

That or we'll get relegated and be back in League One within two years.

That statement was late 12 months ago for me 😂

The only thing that would make me want him to stay at this point is an unrivalled charge up the table and several key players really vocally advocating for him to stay and making it clear the whole squad is behind him.

Given I don't see those things happening he's got to go.

The best outcome is Rodgers turning this season around (then getting poached by Newcastle). We are seeing glimmers of hope, but ultimately if we took that gamble and sacked him it would definitely cost us a lot of money and we could end up with Benitez or Gerrard and end up in an even worse position. I would still be happy for Rodgers to be sacked, but I'm also happy that we're picking up points and seem to have some fight and drive back.

In for now.

We need him to continue with the momentum and help the team get out of a relegation battle sooner than later. A new manager can be decided on later.

He's insanely lucky. Just as a kind run of fixtures against Norwich, Southampton and Watford saved him last season. Playing against 3 pathetic Forest, Leeds and palace performances somehow cancels out 8 bad games.

Teflon weasel.

Out and that won’t change, too much water gone under the bridge with his attitude, disrespect of the club and supporters as well as the shit style of play.

All wins do and if we were to pick up a couple more on the trot and pull out of trouble, is make it less pressing but he still needs to go. He hasn’t got the ambition for a club at our level (Premier League).

Still out, and will always be out.  The type of football we play under him is downright pathetic.  It's unwatchable, and it's never ever exciting.

He won't change his style of play, so I won't change my mind.

IFS,coulds & should of beens, neither win or lose games...but permanent negative thoughts can...

Thankfully the players at present hang higher than nego-posters...

A minority of fans keep saying "but" after a result... Cloth-cap-yobs..!!

Getting out of this predicament won't be Gung-ho...but let's stay positive when it goes for us...

Every fan from youngest to oldest know our situation...they don't need super brains to keep reminding us. Patronising is not what we need from off the field, our fans already know the score..!!

Soccer-doolittles are wasted posts.

I don't know if it's already been mentioned in here, but Brendan had his say on Gerrards sacking last night (he didn't call Villa a great club, unfortunately) but did manage to claim that patience is DECREASING in football...

The absolute gall of it lol

If we had lost to Leeds the pressure on Top to sack Brendan would of been massive considering Gerrard got the boot at Villa and they're slight better off than us in the table.

I really hope we can kick on now and get a positive run of results. Their would be nothing worse than beating Leeds to then go on and lose our next 4
