Just not worth the risk, good player when he's fit and up and running. We really don't need to be risking anymore money on players that may or may not be good. Especially when that player will be looking for 90/100k a week.

we have  Castagne who seems settled at RB now.  As much as I’d love him to be, Thomas just isn’t good enough to be a long term starter in the prem. Cover a couple of games maybe, but he’s not ready to be a long term solution.. so I’d be surprised if we didn’t go for a LB

Agree, but we could cope with Timmy/Thomas as our LB options if we had to and our main target was a RB. If.

Needs a new contract with probably explain the links with other club.

Absolutely this.

 

I cannot see any value in him as a signing.

 

More value in running a sweepstake on when he signs his new Man U contract.

Since 2014/15  he's missed an average of 18 matches a season through injury.  And that's in his twenties, the years of supposed peak fitness.  Imagine what it will be when he gets older.

Are we trying to become the new Everton? Happily taking players from the big 6 because they occasionally look good? His next contract will probably be his last big one, and his wage demands will be huge. He's a big injury risk. He will also have very little resale value.

 

If our scouts and recruitment team are actually looking at him then we should all be worried. Hopefully it's just agent's fake news.

He will be starting against Iran and probably would of done even if Chillwell was fit, wages as others have said will be crazy.
