If anything muscles/ligaments are probably weaker/still developing. It's why a lot of career ending stuff happens at youth level.

In the same sense restrictions are placed on young fast bowlers in cricket in terms of how much strain they're put under at a young age.

Yeah, that's the worry. Both Alves and Braybrooke are quite small in height but Alves seemed to have bulked up in the last year and Braybrooke remained a waif. If both still had a lot of growing to do then these ACL injuries could really curtail their true potential, but let's hope not.

This club is crying out for a top class attacking midfielder and a deep lying midfielder, if both hadn't had these injuries I think they'd be very close to being in the 1st team for next season. Fingers crossed they get there.

I really hope they do both get back on their upward trajectory. The chances of making a full recovery are much better at a younger age particularly with it being such an almost routine operation nowadays. As for height and stature there is pros and cons for all physiques as long as they are fit and develop their abilities and knowledge. Wouldn’t it be great for these two to start featuring this year in the team. We need something like that.

Wonder if their youth plays a part. Both 17/18 or so aren't they? Maybe that could mean a quicker turnaround. No idea.

Tanner said Braybrooke is likely to return ahead of Alves as the damage from that tackle was worse for Alves, in an interview with Beyond The 90s.

He mentioned they'll return around October.

Definitely quicker I think my surgeon told me that the  blood supply and associated cellular regeneration of a younger person to the repair means the re capillarisation of the new ligament is stronger and quicker. Also helps any associated healing of meniscus damage if there is any.

They’ll both be back pre Christmas.

It’s just a case then of where they’re at in terms of development and overall fitness.

when you consider the fact we are possibly even utilizing Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy and the angiogenesis process that can bring to the table then it can be promising…

As much as it was a disgusting challenge, how long do we expect him to be punished for? He is/ was a kid himself when he did it, and we have no idea how this was handled internally by Wolves, or do we?

He is not a child. I really detest it when people keep saying this. I’d been at work 2 years by the time I was 18. My grandad had served in WW1 for 3 by that age.

Good to know, but completely irrelevant. People don't go to war at 15 in 2023. And just because you went to work at 16 doesn't make you a wise old owl who never made a ridiculous decision.

Point is,  the Wolves player was what, 16 or 17? You're still at an early stage of your life learning about the world. If you don't like him being called a child, you can at least acknowledge that he's still learning what is right and wrong in life, and I would expect (and seriously hope) the last few months have been a very steep learning curve for him.
